This Season’s Survivor: South Pacific Ranks #2
Among All Reality Series in Adults 18-49

CBS announced today a February premiere date for the next SURVIVOR and ordered two more editions of the series for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season.  The broadcasts next season will mark the 25th and 26th editions of television's longest-running hit reality competition series.
Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst will return as host and executive producer for all three upcoming cycles. Probst has hosted SURVIVOR since its inception in May 2000.

In its 23rd edition, SURVIVOR continues to be a strong ratings performer, currently ranking as the #2 reality series on television in adults 18-49. This fall's SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC is averaging 12.27 million viewers, 3.8/11 in adults 18-49 and 5.1/13 in adults 25-54.
“SURVIVOR is an outstanding franchise,” said Jennifer Bresnan, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, CBS Entertainment. “Its format guarantees fresh characters, exotic places and fascinating social dynamics every season.  And, the show is backed by an A-plus production team that is as passionate as the die hard ‘SURVIVOR’ fans.  All of us at CBS are incredibly proud of SURVIVOR’s ongoing success.”

“I am extremely proud of the continuing success of SURVIVOR, which is due to the immense loyalty of our millions of fans,” said executive producer Mark Burnett. “We are excited to offer two more seasons of SURVIVOR and look forward to entertaining audiences for years to come.”
“I am thrilled to continue working on the longest-running reality competition show with the world's greatest adventure crew for two more seasons,” said host and executive producer Jeff Probst.  “We are so thankful for the supportive fans who remain with us every season, and we promise to deliver another year of quality television.”

The 24th edition of SURVIVOR premieres Wednesday, Feb. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).
The innovative reality series won an Emmy Award in 2001 in the category of “Outstanding Non-Fiction Program” (Special Class).  Host Jeff Probst is a four-time Emmy Award winner in the category of “Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Series.”
SURVIVOR is produced by SEG, Inc.  Mark Burnett, Jeff Probst and David Burris are executive producers.

SuperTux:
Feb 15 is my birthday.

Jobby:
Feb 13 is mine. I always get either TAR or Survivor as a gift. Or even both!

Kate04:

Yawn - they ruined it for me with RI  :groan:  But I'm glad for the folks who still love Survivor that it will be back.

Prophet:
They may have done away with RI in the next season. I don't know for sure though.
