On local news today and in local blogs http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2011/12/amazing-race-vancouver-filming-locations/ the race teams are heading for Vancouver BC today at 4pm. I will try to get some photos at one of the stops!

:welcome2: to RFF, canadianyvr! By the looks of that article, that is talking about The Amazing Race Canada (if there is such a thing). IMO, it's unlikely that teams from TAR 20 would be going there at this point in time, anyway, but that's just my spec. (:lol:)

I am getting info that teams were seen on a flight from Havana, Cuba to Toronto. Trying to source more info as we speak but they could match up quite well with the Vancouver speculation.

Agh no way. I can't believe they're filming in Vancouver. I could ride the Expo Line and then the Canada Line to get to YVR. Too bad I have work tomorrow. (:;)

If they did originate in Havana here are the probable flights via Toronto. (The only direct flight to Vancouver is from Varadero.)

Then Toronto to Vancouver:

There are flights from Varadero to Toronto, but they have too little time between flights to get through customs and immigration.

Can't believe I missed a chance to see the teams in TO. Depending on the flights they may have had to change from terminal T1 to T3.

That is EXACTLY what happens when locations are blown and security becomes concerned for the safety of the racers.

Which is why we try to NOT reveal locations before they are underway.

If this keeps happening, they could scrub the whole Vancouver leg. :groan:
