I think Hadewych knows who the mole is. She was super shocked when marit left and thus she knew that it wasn't Anne-Marie. Plus, she was super relieved that she didn't go, possibly went in a tunnel vision during the exam. Another suspicious act by Tim is that he was trying to tell everyone that Marit told people different answers so who knows who she went for in the exam. I think Hadewych knew and with her new 'partnerships' she has found out who is the mole. I think she will win, I hope she will win!!

Just watch Hadewych's reaction in the last video from 4:30 - 4:40, I'm pretty sure she has a pretty good intuition on who it is.

I on the other hand, don't know at all hahahahhaha

Okay I could be thinking about this too much but the sequence 4236 is on my brain

Ep 1
4th person shown eliminated (Marion)

Ep 2
4th person shown eliminated (Dio)

Ep 3
4th person shown eliminated (Swimmer guy Maarten van ....)

Ep 4
6th person shown would have been Marit or William  - no one eliminated

Ep 5
2nd person shown eliminated (Marit)

Ep 6
6th person eliminated (Fritz)

Yep you're right that seems to correspond nicely to the code, but not quite sure what that means or to whom it would link as a Mole clue?  :)

Wanted to share another theory with you.
It's been a while since there's been a clue in the group photos - but they do use them for Mole clues on occasion.
Someone on one of the Mole forums has come up with a theory that there may be this time. Just wanted to share.  ;)

If you look at the group photos Tim is always in the middle.
In fact the only photo he's not in the middle of the group is in ep 4's photo, when the title of the episode was: 'Someone else' - i.e. someone else was standing there instead of him?

Also one of the titles of the episodes was 'Van achter naar voren', which in Dutch means 'Reversed' or 'Backwards' but can also be used literally. In that case it means 'From back to front'. This is the case in all the group photo's, because he exchanges being in the background and being in the front:

Episode 1:

Episode 2:

Episode 3:

Episode 4:

Episode 5:

Episode 6:

In Dutch there's an expression 'In ons midden' which means 'amongst us'. Literally it means in our middle, amidst us.
So you could say, the Mole is amidst us. :)

Of course now we'll have to see if this pattern continues in episode 7, if he's still around that is.  :lol3:

Did the standing theory work for former seasons? ???

Did the standing theory work for former seasons? ???

They never repeat a clue so I can't really answer that.

I can tell you they have put in hints such as:
1. The Mole had a different pose than the contestants each time.
2. The Mole was hinting at them being the Mole in sign language (during the whole season, one letter per episode).
3. The Mole was snapping their fingers because they mentioned that in a confessional.

etc.

So I can't say anything about the 'validity' - it's a theory.  :)
Oh and by the way, in case I didn't make it clear, this wasn't my theory. :)
It was offered by someone on the Mole forums, but I thought it was interesting enough to share.

Unfortunately I haven't seen many good theories for other contestants.

For the record:

1. Clues about Hadewych have been predominantly about the bow-ties she wears in her hair as far as I can tell, but nobody has come up with anything worth mentioning imo.  :duno:

2. Clues about Liesbeth have mainly been about the palindrome sort, obviously (reversed and such).
i.e. her surname 'Staats' being a palindrome, this returning on the signs in epi 4/ bunker challenge. A single shot of a 'spoon' which in Dutch is 'lepel' (i.e. a palindrome) but according to some also resembles the sign for 'female' (as in female mole).  Then a lot of calculations with 4263, making it into a palindrome with numbers but I really can't tell the logic behind it tbh, it seems more or less random to me?  :duno:
There is one that states 4x2x6x3 = 144 being her birthday but then three internet sources claim different birthdays?  :duno:
Also well it seems a bit farfetched to me but who knows.  ;)
Then again perhaps I am biased because I would very much dislike Liesbeth to be the mole.. any of the other 4 I would prefer to her.
Nonetheless I think I looked at what was said more or less objectively and if something had come up that I felt was worth mentioning I would have mentioned it honestly.  :)

3. Anne-Marie clues :
I Am on the signs in the bunker challenge.
The A and J are 'lit up' in the names of Iceland (IJsland) and Spain (Spanje).
AJ was seen lit up on a boat before the execution in episode 4.

4. William clues:
I Am.
The fish in episode 6, as this is his astrological sign.
AJ (same as mentioned with Anne-Marie), as in Spaaij, his last name (Spanje- IJsland = other way around (Spain first and Iceland later = Spa(a)ij).)
Spaaij being pronounced as 'spy' i.e. double agent/mole. He mentioned 'autitioning' for a Dutch James Bond in episode 6.

I honestly believe most of them are too farfetched to be a clue, but who knows.
Any clue should be pretty straightforward and simple I think, something the viewers could pick up on or at least should have the feeling they could have picked up on.

Obviously there are 1 or 2 clues for the people sifting through all episodes and looking for clues. But I think as a rule of thumb they should be straightforward and easy to explain, without all kinds of hoopla. :)

I think the two I have offered here before meet that criterium (whether they turn out to be true or not I can't share everything that is written on those forums, I simply don't have the time and I doubt it would be helpful in some cases, tbh.  ;) )

I just thought these two seemed to correspond with what can actually be seen and verified in the series most (as a pattern and not a single occurence that is) without it being just interpretation, or even wishful thinking.

I was watching S11, just to fill up my day while waiting for episode 7..

The photogroup theory thing, I guess remain proven, since the Mole at S11 standing in the middle too,

at episode 6, fish challenge, the Mole might predict, eventhough it can be fail too sometimes, that the other players might not succesfully turn the fish to face the ocean, therefore he immidiately sabotage the challenge with touching the wood first? And who is that? 3-2...

another easy beginner specs,

at the very first episode,
Tim was not holding the envelope, and he seems like know where to go... Not until he met Marit, and Marit asked for his picture, FIRST, he wasn't gonna show it, and he confessed like, 'I don't even open the envelope bla..bla..', but then Marit asked for the second time to show his picture, and Tim's picture is different with others, I only saw the creek at a glance, he might have been given two pictures, if he is the mole...

At episode 2, he like dio to be in the game and stay a bit longer, he's trying his best to convince dio don't vote for this, vote for that, and so on... Did we see any suspicious act?

owh..and one more thing, did anyone realize the number of goat and cows in the flight to spain question? That was question for Tim, and he was the first person to get the envelope,

Oh right I forgot.  :groan:
There was a clue in it last year too.
The radiohints pointed to the Mole not being the one in the front in the end (i.e. in the 'end' photo).

But the radio clues made so little sense (they were very different than usual last year) that nobody got that one.  :lol3:

Yes that number was 41.
Not sure what that means though.

The only thing I can think of right now (but that's starting to sound like tunnel vision to me tbh  :-[ ), was the fact that he was asked his shoe size in episode 2 on the stairs challenge. This was 42.

He then gets an envelope with the sheep question to which the answer is 41. If we continue the '-1' theme, it would be 40 next, and 40 is what get if you add the numbers to the letters of MOL in Dutch (supposing a=1 etc. so M=13, O=15 and L=12, i.e. 40).

But again that is very speculative and I'm not sure if that is what it means or whether it even means anything tbh.
I agree with you that the number seems a little random though.  :duno:

Time for the new preview and promo for episode 7!!   :hearts:
Looks like the contestants will be 'bullied' and facing their fear of hights..  ;)

Also an epilogue to episode 6 this time, with reactions to Frits being executed and extra footage on how the contestants thought and felt about the potential sabotages going on in the generator - lighttower challenge.  ;)

Enjoy!

Didn't the host/last years winner stay mostly front and center last year in the group shots? Where Tim is this time??

The Mole and Winner were both in the middle, Art was in front,
Show content
Patrick
was in the back.

The clue was something like: I'm not the one in the front (or something like that but it was way too difficult to find  )

By the way from the looks of it, the middle-thing was no longer continued in episode 7, though.  :)

Also again with

3 bridges
2 ropes
1 challenge.

Could be Tim? Could be Leisbeth?

Hadewych is my favorite, and she's always animated, so either she is a SUPER GOOD actress (and the mole) or she is a contestant.

Haven't watched EP7 because Freegate proxy software doesn't work in my twenty now... Facebook, Youtube, twitter and so on have become inaccessible to me. I'll probably miss the following episodes. :'(

The eliminee was not a shock to me. I guess Hadewych is going to win...?

ETA: Thanks to another Mole fan in China. He downloaded EP7 from Youtube and sent those clips to me. :<3 Enjoyed this episode!
Looking forward to the next one! :keeta:

Someone came up with a hint on the Moleforum today that I think sounds very plausible (i.e. easily and undubitably linked to one person plus it makes sense with the pattern we see in the series).

It turns out the Icelandic word for Time is 'tími'(pronounced as 'Tim' in fact).

When you consider all the references that have been made to time this series, I think that would make a good & plausible hint. :) a.o.:

1. Many references to time (today, tomorrow, yesterday, now, in one hour etc) in the Mole tweets.
2. An extra 10 minutes in episode 1 (for the first time ever) where the clock was turned back from 3 to 2 hours.
3. Episode 2 being online one day earlier than it was aired (except for the execution -  a one off according to the Avro network).
4. The 'Persistence of Memory' painting by Dali where time/clocks are very prominent.

Personally I think this could well be 'the' hint we have been looking for, i.e. the one that is very easy and simple yet elegant to link to the Mole.
It would make the 3-1=2 link stronger as well I think. :)

- For Anne-Marie, some people claim the fact that Art says 'jongens' (guys) a lot, which sounds like 'Jung is' (as in I Am (sign), Anne-Marie, I am the Mole).
- For Hadewych I think someone mentioned she wore music-related earrings (not really sure why though??)
Mol also means '(B)flat' or 'Bemolle' in music in Dutch.
- Don't think I've seen any theories about hints relating to Liesbeth at least none that I recall.

New epi tomorrow!!!  :wohoo: :beer2:  :hearts:

Recently I found a software (unstable though) that can help me browse foreign sites quickly without using the flow. :yess:

Watched this episode from my friend. By far this season is epic! My favorite TV series.

Now I'm really reconsidering the guess I made before the show aired. Will we see another Kathryn Price in this season? I guess the title of this episode refers to the real contestants in the game.

Glad to hear it SuperTux (on both things)
I'm really enjoying this season too but it definitely confuses me more than S11 or several previous series.
My Mole 'gut' feeling kept telling me Tim was too clear, they even threw in a challenge that would remind us all of a previous Mole sabotage - I would have really loved to see the footage of that.
Sometimes 'gut' feeling is better than trying to use logic on the Mole I think but that varies per season and the kind of strategy they choose.  :)

Quote
Now I'm really reconsidering the guess I made before the show aired. Will we see another Kathryn Price in this season? I guess the title of this episode refers to the real contestants in the game.

At the moment I think it could be any of the three remaining contestants, really.  :duno:

Anne-Marie:
- Has done plenty wrong (even though I can't explain why she would have torched that hay bale for €2500,- tbh, that would have been an accident? Or her claiming it when she didn't do it? Or to throw off suspicion??)
Also, well it would be quite strange in a way that so many contestants suspected her, but well. We've had seasons where 3 people were onto the right mole at some stage so it wouldn't be earth shattering either :P
I actually don't really understand why so many contestants seem to suspect her from early on, apparently because her slight stand offishness??

Hadewych: (aka the 'wildcard'  )
- She hasn't done anything to make her a 100% contestant in my opinion (as in not earned heaps of money but really who in this series has except for the long gone Frits? :(
- She did do 'unnecessary' things I think that I can't really explain.
e.g.
- Why actively stop Tim and William from entering the tower in Reykjavik? (Though this to a lesser extent is true of Anne-Marie too and Liesbeth apparently says they shouldn't go in the background too ??)
- Why make a false prediction about yourself on the bridge?
She was clearly scared, she was pregnant too so I don't think anyone would have blamed her for not going.  :duno:
It couldn't really be to throw off suspicions I think because she has had none that we know if (or next to none anyway).
Maybe there was another reason for it that we don't know but it seems strange to not use a perfect opportunity to sabotage like that?
- In episode 8 she may have sabotaged the costumes/photograph challenge, but then why win €500,- right away too? I mean it would have been easy to just guess the number of bridges wrong, and she hardly has anyone being suspicious of her anyway??
- ETA:
Another thing I don't quite understand is why they kept her so invisible the first 4 episodes basically.
Sure you don't want people to be onto your Mole too soon, but the viewers must also have the feeling they could have found the Mole too if they paid attention. Why make her so invisible? (Well that of course could be the reason it's just odd I think  )

Liesbeth:
- She's definitely done plenty to be the Mole.. During the whole series basically.
Thing is though she gets such an obvious edit and the whole country thinks it's her from day one.
That's usually a sign this person isn't the Mole.

Also I can't really explain why she did certain things if she had knowledge prior to the challenges (as the Mole would).
eg In episode 3, she gets to make the decision about who is in which group in the city tour challenge.
She chooses the two most trusted people in the group (Maarten and Marit) to go on top of the tower.
That made the chance of that challenge succeeding much bigger. Anyone can say she would know they would probably lose money in the Hofdi House later but personally I think that's not a valid argument. The Mole is there to sabotage from beginning to end. So her choice seems strange in that case.

There have been a few minor moments like this, and apart from that Frits (and I think William too in fact, though that is a guess based on his behavior really) voted for Liesbeth and went out, it seems.

It has to be one of these three scenario's I'm just not sure which.
I guess Hadewych would make a fun Mole, and maybe she did things we all didn't notice because we were too busy seeing her as a spontaneous ditzy-like girly girl in the group. I do think her emotions are real though, for the most part.
Somehow I can't really see it with her, but the fact is she's still there, when people thought she would be long gone indeed.
So who knows, it's really hard this year, because of the different things that seem counter-intuitive for the Mole.  :duno:

This final is definitely going to be exciting!!

I hope Hadewych wins!!

I think Leisbeth is the mole but I'm not 100% certain. I def will be surprised if Hadewych is, but the other two I can see.
