OMG. I just have read that in the 2008 Season of Expeditie Robinson (Belgium and the Netherlands' version of Survivor), 74 FORMER SEASON contestants voted to proclaim the winner of Survivor

Quote
When it came time to reveal the winner of the 2008 season it was revealed that the jury vote was tied at 3-3. This led to seventy four former contestants voting for a winner.

But then again, the source is Wikipedia. :res:
I was looking at this thread and its right. In 2008 'Expeditie Robinson' started with 100 contestants including my geography teacher. He came pretty far (final 18). It was pretty insame.

How do you get buffs?
How much (typically) is a buff?

I actually want to order the $27-dollar La Flor Buff in planetbuff.com but I'm still thinking over it (plus I need my mom's approval! lol)
BTW, I live in the Philippines.

I have a question:

In the TC after everybody voted and before Jeff reveals the voting result, if contestant A gives the HII to contestant B, must B use the HII immediately?

Could HII be used in a duel?

Scenario: Jeff introduces the game in the duel, the person who has the HII raises his hand and claims he wants to use the HII to avoid competing in this game (which he's probably not good at), and then the rest two contestants compete to eliminate one of them.

I don't think so - but it's hard to say unless we see it happen or something.

What happens if 2 immunity idols are played and all votes are cast for those 2 players?

Don't know if it's happened before, but my guess is that there would be a re-vote, and the two that played the HII's would be the only two you couldn't vote for. :duno:

What I'm more interested to see if a person gets voted off and goes to RI, can he/she still pass the Idol openly to another player? Will be pretty epic to see. I'm sure it's kind of forbidden, otherwise Andrea might have given hers to Eddie last season..

And Mug is probably right too.. will just have to go into a re-vote and vote for anyone but the two who used the HII. Such a Survivor moment actually... would love to see it eventually happen one day. :funny:

Most likely if the idol holder loses the duel they can give the idol to the people that are at the RI. But if the idol holder gets back to the game it's valid idol still (this has been confirmed by Probst).

i would assume a revote would happen with all non-immune players eligible; in the event of both being played at final 5 (with 3 people being immune) you'd probably have a fire making challenge.....if more than 2 players are eligible to be eliminated; normal TB policies apply

I'm confused by another scenario.

Let's say there're 6 people left.

I--person who has the immunity necklace
H--person who has an HII
A,B,C,D--the rest players

Before the votes are revealed, H uses the HII.

Contestants:I H A B C D
Votes received:0 3 1 1 1 0

Then it becomes a tie among A-B-C, and I,H,D have to vote for one of them.

If the result of the revote is 1-1-1, does it mean D is eliminated?

The above scenario would assumably result in drawing rocks. As to whether or not the players involved in the tie would also have to draw rocks, I do not know. :/

I believe that in this scenario, A, B, C, and D all draw, this was sort of the case in Marquesas, but I believe that the four would draw rocks

Well, if we go by the rules of BvW, tied players don't draw rocks, so we're left with player D drawing rocks by himself  :cmaslol

I was thinking about something the other day:

What happens on Survivor in the event of a tie at the Final Tribal Council:

For example, if there is a Final Two and eight jurors (such as Micronesia) and we have a 4-4 vote.

Or, another example, if there is a Final Three and nine jurors and we have a 4-4-1 vote or a 3-3-3 vote.

Do they split the money? Is there a re-vote? :duno:
I'll bet the only reason this was the case was because there was originally going to be seven jury members and three finalists, but the producers hated Cirie for some reason (HOW COULD YOU HATE CIRIE???!!!) and were like "screw here, she doesn't deserve it!", which she does

I would imagine that
A) The winner is chosen based on the public's fave player vote
B) A re-vote would occur or
C) Pre-Jury players would vote.

If there were a tie wouldn't they settle it with a fire making challenge between the tied players?  I could be wrong, but I thought that was they settled ties at one point.  I'm pretty sure they did, but if not it's not a bad idea if I do say so myself.

Or maybe in the 4-4-1 case the second runner-up will decide who the winner is.

racer had a Survivor fantasy game where if there was a tie for the jury vote, the juror who was voted out first would have their vote removed from the urn. I kind of hope that's how they would do it on the show. It seems like the most fair way to do it.

I'm going to ask the obvious question about the drawing rocks as a tie-breaker thing:

I don't remember what season this happened in... maybe Palau or Guatemala? But there's one episode where there's a tie at TC and everyone's freaking out about having to draw rocks, and Jeff just smiles at them and says, "We don't do that anymore."

So why did they bring it back for BvW when there's been so many times when they've done the fire-making challenge to break the tie?? :gaah:

The rocks tie breaker was always in play, and it was specifically listed in the official rulebook of Survivor (you can look for a copy in RealityBlurred)
