If I remember correctly, the application said that the teams will not be at home for Thanksgiving. If it starts next week, are they really sequestering teams almost a week and a half before the start of the race? :duno:

They very commonly start on Saturday evenings west coast time. Since it was not last Saturday today seems like a good bet to me :)

They do have a habit starting around Thanksgiving, so today does seem like a good day to do it. Phil can tweet while filming.

Evenings? Have we EVER seen a Starting Line in the evening? I can't recall any of them...

TAR 19 I believe started in the late afternoon. It was dark by the time Kaylani and Lisa got to the airport.

I can usually cite statistics but not on this one. It is my impression from watching 19 Amazing Races that the most common start time is in the morning in whatever time zone the start is. That allows some tasks in that metro area, then a trek to the international airport they are departing from, then a flight out from about 2pm on. Morning in the other 3 time zones is always well before evening in the western time zone.

Prophet, I cannot recall an Amazing Race ever starting in the evening. Please tell me which races did start in the evening. I am talking about Phil's "Travel Safe. Go." and the ensuing mad scramble to vehicles.

Phil just tweeted a lovely picture of the sunset on the Pacific Coast Highway:

Always nice to keep track of where Phil is!

So unless they're going for a night start in order to get in and out of LAX quickly for some overnight flights, looks like today is not our day.
