CBS and Foursquare have combined forces to create a TAR branded Foursquare page.http://www.cbspressexpress.com/div.php/cbs_entertainment/release?id=29194
This is a long time coming and seems like a great fit.
If you're not familiar with Foursquare ( http://4sq.com/njq7LN
) - its a social networking site that lets you "check in" to locations you visit around the world.
Foursquare is a location-based mobile platform that makes cities easier to use and more interesting to explore. By “checking in” via a smartphone app or SMS, users share their location with friends while collecting points and virtual badges. Foursquare guides real-world experiences by allowing users to bookmark information about venues that they want to visit and surfacing relevant suggestions about nearby venues. Merchants and brands leverage the foursquare platform by utilizing a wide set of tools to obtain, engage, and retain customers and audiences
For instance - The Amazing Races first check in is at the Hsi Lai Temple in Glendale, CA. Looks like they'll be checking in at various locations that TAR 19 visits.
Given the geographically diverse clientele at RFF - I wager we could get check ins at every location TAR visits this season.
P.S. - I'm a big fan of Foursquare.
