K/J's lucky break:
This puzzled me for a bit.
Thakur Bari has absolutely nothing to do with tea: it's a family estate turned into a museum--inside a college campus. There was no way a helpful stranger could connect the dots and steer K/J in the right direction, so I looked around and found him in a cap with R/C when they were hiring a cab. My guess is that he's the taxi manager (or whatever title is appropriate for directing a cab rank) and he just sent them off to the same place as the others (regardless of the tea). At least, I hope that's the explanation.
