Wikipedia had a list of the episodes/years they were nominated for: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Amazing_Race_(U.S._TV_series)#Awards

So it looks like they won for Seasons 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 18, and 20.

Have any team members on any TAR season (including international) had an incident when they accidentally broke or torn their backpacks?

I think this might be a REAL game changer if they are in a foot race for last place or a Berlin moment like Freddy & Kendra versus Jonathan & Victoria. :lol3:

Is there a penalty in the Amazing Race for deliberately blocking another team's taxi?

I always wonder how production relays information to the Pit Stop about penalties that the teams get. The camera guys can't just radio and tell them, 'cus then the team would know.

Charla & Mirna got into Colin & Christie's taxi and refused to get out in Egypt. The cousins didn't get a penalty.

Each team is followed by a camera and a productor i think. If the productor sees a penalty he can just call or message the Pit Stop production.

Production is not assigned to follow teams as the camera crew does.

However, production is stationed at all tasks. clue boxes, and the pit stops, so if a team violates an instruction at one of those locations, either the local person overseeing a task, a local producer at a location, or production at the pit stop will relay the information to Phil.
In the event there's a rule violation at other times, with only the camera crew present, then the crew can report the issue when the team reaches the pit stop, and a penalty can be assessed during the pit stop, and Phil will record something with the team to inform the team and the viewer about the penalty. (We haven't had one of those in a long time, but that is how that has worked in the past.)

Nope.  Camera guy and sound guy. Production runs with the teams in first and last... at least some of the time.

Also, can anyone explain to me how the decoys work in the final cities? For example, when do they assume they'll need to start having decoys, and how many teams do they use as decoys? Like will the next two teams eliminated be decoys in the finale? ...just curious if anybody knows.

Usually the Final 6 or so are decoys, (during TAR 16, a friend of mine spotted Steve & Allie racing in the Singapore leg), they race the course with the other teams to try to fool those who like to spoil.

:hiya NickNa Taw, and  :welcome2: to the RFF!

As an example, in last season finale, the twinnies and Ryan & Abbie were spotted in the Lombardi's pizza area doing exactly the same task that the F3 teams. If you check in the TAR21 sightings section, you will able to see the pics of them. How did we know they were decoys? By the lack of camera crew with them. (We also have pics of Trey & Lexie performing the task in Bycicle Habitat with the camera crew).
Maybe my oldest fellow detectives can add more info about for how long it's been happening the decoy thing, but I read here somewhere that Louie and Michael were spotted in San Francisco, during TAR16 finale, carrying a trunk at the same time the F3 were racing to win the million dollars.
And Redskevin88 is right about one of the reasons is to fool people like us who likes to spoil things.

We wouldn't post it if there was. The rule is no info about the start until the racers are safely underway.

But you can spec over here:

Team A and B are doing a task/looking for a clue, both have cabs waiting for them. Team A finishes the task first/gets their clue and returns to their cab. Team A also decides to pay team B's cab to follow them and not return to the location of the task (assuming team B's packs are not in the cab). Would team A get penalized for this?

Additionally, could team A remove team B's packs and drop them off by team B before taking both cabs, or is that prohibited under the rule of tempering with clues/resources?

"Packs."

You can't touch anything that is from other teams, on the race.

Declive is correct.

Example: Joseph & Grace took out James & Sarah's bags in order to steal their taxi in TAR AU 2, resulting in a penalty.

What's their criteria of "touching" that can get penalty, can someone explain more detail?

If you pick other team's things. Steal or even take out of a cab or a designated spot.

Remember the penalty to the Globetrotters in the japanese leg of UB because of moving Ron & Christina's funnypack to a different place from where they put it.

So, the "touching" criteria is if it put other team's in disadvantage, right? What if they moved it accidentally? Will they get a penalty too? :res:

Flight Time & Big Easy "accidentally" moved Ron & Christina's bags and got a penalty.

Are teams assigned a certain color to wear or is that just coincidence/team spirit.
