The far bottom right is the face of a dark-skinned man. I would be surprised if there was a racer in that shot.

The cowboy hat looks more like a Gaucho(?) style hat to me (no upturned brims) ...and that is def ZOT Jet or Cord in that pic.

I tried lightening up that picture and tinkering with the contrast and the guy in the cowboy hat still looks like he has a dark complexion and not a light complexion like Jet or Cord. It does not look like Luke to me either. I think it must have been taken in Brazil and is at a samba dance task of some kind.

However, it would be really unwise for them to re-enact their feud again...

Actually after seeing the teams, I'm leaning towards a father/mother-son/daughter(F/M-S/D) teams winning this season...Last season we have seen 4 all-female teams in one season which was kinda a 'first' in TAR history and now, there are 4 F/M-S/D teams in one season. This might be the reason why Toni/Dallas is not included in this race...otherwise it would show how badly they want a F/M-S/D to win this race. Gallory I reckon...

Phil's video diary shows him leaving Shelly Beach and going to the airport to catch the 6:20 pm Rex flight ZL878 to Broken Hill on Nov 22. So he got to get a bed there that night. It shows him flying back to Sydney. He talks about catching the flight to Tokyo. But here is the fly in the ointment. The reg daily flight from Broken Hill to Sydney is at 630 am. The two charters the teams flew on left at 8:50 am and 9:30 am after they dropped off the teams. The next flight from Broken Hill to Sydney is at 630am on Nov 24 ZL877. If it had been on time, he might could have made JL772 leaving Sydney for Narita at 9:20 am. But it was late in arriving in Sydney and he would have ended up on same flight with teams on the Qantas 21 flight.

Looks like Phil left Broken Hill on Rex Regional ZL863 @ 1325 to Dubbo and then from there on same flight number to Sydney. Arriving at 1705 with plenty of time to catch QF21 to Narita. Dubbo is a town between Broken Hill and Sydney. It is on the same highway and the train passes through there too on the way to Sydney.

So it looks like he was in Narita starting a nice day off before teams even arrived in Sydney on the train.

Well I wont argue with you Peach, but in the video....it is very bright sunshine. More like mid day when Phil says "they" are leaving to catch flight to Japan. Flight Stats shows no direct flights from Broken Hill to Sydney after 9:30 am on the 23rd.

Flight ZL863 leaves Broken Hill at 1:25 pm and makes a stop in Dubbo, then continues on to Sydney after 20 minutes on the ground.

If Production left around 6 pm....it was probably ZL4833 to Alelaide. From there one late night flight and 2 early morning flights to Sydney to connect with JL772 to Japan @ 9:20 am on Nov 24. They would land in Narita before the teams left Sydney.

Leg 2: Spirit World Lady*
Leg 3: Frog of Luck Man*
Leg 4: Either one of the Zodiac Men
Leg 5: Paleontologist

*Though I think this task is not gonna be the finale task. It would be unfair for Detour choices such as these.

I can't find the interview right now, but I remember Phil saying that teams were going to be shocked by how sneaky (an)other team(s) was, and it looks like he was referring to Kent & Vyxsin because Phil responded to a tweet with this:

Now, I'm just guessing (speculating ^^) but since Mel and Mike were eliminated pretty early in the race, I don't think they could have had many chances to "learn to love" R&C. But this could be the case if they spent some time together at Elimination Station. IF the assumption is correct, Ron and Chris will be eliminated fairly soon, as later teams no longer go to ES but are kept with production.

In the previous races there were usually three NELs. If we suppose that in this race the NELs have been replaced with KRLs then we should have one more of those. So far the KRLs happened in the same country, now the only country that has two legs is India, but somehow I don't think that we are going to see a KRL in Kolkatta. I thing that both Indian legs will be normal elimination legs and that the last KRL, if it exists, will be the Vienna-Luxemburg-Zermaat combination. All three places are very close to each other and there are frequent and regular trains between them.
Another factor, so far both KRLs contained a train ride.

Of course all these are just speculation and TPTB might surprises again.

As per

Kolkatta is an elimination leg, and there's still going to be a Normal NEL this season

I think they are basically phasing out the FF at this point, who knows if we'll even see one this season.
