There is also a flight back from Broken Hill (chartered) on REX this morning...ZL9997 Broken Hill-Sydney arrives 11.30amBut I doubt the racers could be on that, given that they would get to Broken Hill about 8.30am to 9.00am, and then it suggests they'd almost be heading back immediately...?There is also ZL861 (scheduled service) arriving back into Sydney at 12.10pmSome things to think about there... there isn't many services out of Broken Hill. Maybe it is a driving on leg? Or is it Indian Pacific from Broken Hill back to Sydney? (Departing Broken Hill at about 6.30pm tonight, arriving Sydney 10.15am Wednesday) Indian Pacific to Adelaide doesn't run today.
I thought they needed to get back to Sydney to leave by the same airport they came in by? Isn't that how they handle customs issues?Welcome to RFF, rodcub!
I think the chances of another Australian leg after Broken Hill are minimal, so I'd say Wednesday is a Phil day (at the next destination), and teams leave Wednesday afternoon or evening to race at their next destination on Thursday.

This is a possibility if they complete the leg by late afternoon, they can charter back to Sydney and leave for Tokyo
Pardon? Where did the....

I say Tokyo is next, and I say it's QF21 on 24 Nov leaving from Sydney. I cant reply to PM's because I'm a new member. But your source is wrong.
The Indian Pacific (train) departs Broken Hill, Tuesday at 6:30 PM; arrives Sydney, Wednesday 10:15 AM.http://www.gsr.com.au/site/indian_pacific/timetables_schedules.jspI guess this should really be in the spec thread.

Quote from: the-pr0phet on November 22, 2010, 09:10:34 PMThere is a flight Wed morning departing at 9am.After an assumed elimination in Broken Hill.....you will have 10 teams left........thats 40 people. Rex Regional Express's largest plane only holds 34 people.........what do the other 6 people do?
Apparently Rex is adding on extra planes!
Given how completely 18 was kept under wraps, I'm surprised that slip even happened, much less not get noticed.
