Quickest way from Circular Quay to Lavender Bay on public transport seems to be by ferry to Milsons Pt.
Teams can easily jog over to the opposite side of the Harbour Bridge.

Keep an eye on the webcams. Huge groups with camera-people will be easy to spot.

I remember the first season, or maybe it was the second, where the contestants landed in Sydney and raced around Circular Quay. One team while standing at the Opera House took a Taxi to Circular Quay (mispronounced) even though they could’ve walked there faster.
I hope they do better this time.

Call it speculation or just a gut feeling, but this is what they are looking for in Lavender Bay:

Along The Lavender Bay Boardwalk "A Hegarty's Ferry" A small series of sculptures commemorating some of the best loved characters from Australian popular culture by local artist & resident Peter Kingston
