It's one thing to post fantasy routes; that's what this thread is about. But it's another thing to post routes and try to pass them off as being official.

(On the other hand, I'm applying for TAR21, so thanks for the heads-up! )

Why not TAR 19 or TAR 20?

deleted to protect your app...

(Thanks peach!)

I'll post a fantasy route to get us back on topic... (procrastinating in studying for my final exams!)

Leg 1: Phoenix, Arizona, USA -> Toronto, Canada
Leg 2: Toronto -> Halifax, Canada
Leg 3: Halifax -> Edinburgh, Scotland, UK
Leg 4: Edinburgh -> Liverpool, England, UK
Leg 5: Liverpool -> Antwerp, Belgium
Leg 6: Antwerp -> Sharm El Sheik, Egypt
Leg 7: Egypt -> Budapest, Hungary
Leg 8: Budapest
Leg 9: Budapest -> Phuket, Thailand
Leg 10: Phuket -> Wellington, New Zealand
Leg 11: Wellington -> Potosí, Bolivia
Leg 12: Bolivia -> Philadelphia, PA, USA
(Final memory task involving currencies they've experienced on the race at the US Mint, Finish Line at the steps of the Museum of Art, where Rocky ran up in the movie.)
"I defy you to come up with a better name than Seven!"
"Alright... how 'bout Mug? Mug Costanza!"

Okay so I have received 100% news regarding the route of the race for the 100th season of TAR. The producers left the dummy sheets at our home! OMG! :res: :res:

Seriously. Don't believe in "omg-the-producers-left-the-route-of-the-race!" news because they are just plain dumb. :groan:

I like the end city for this one...I've always thought Mackinaw Island would be a great ending.
Imagine the racers surprise when they take the ferry over to find that no motor vehicles are allowed- you walk, ride a bike or hire a horse & buggy.
Think of the tasks they could do....scooping horse poop (it is a real important job on an island that relies on horses so much) versus riding a tandem bike around the entire island.
Maybe they could even get the Mackinaw Bridge Authority to allow them to a height task, like having to paint some of the cables on the bridge or change a light bulb. For those that aren't aware, the Mackinaw Bridge is 5 miles long, connecting the lower & upper peninsulas of the state.
Of course the final spot would be Phil standing on the massive front porch of The Grand Hotel, waiting for the racers to arrive- its the hotel featured in Somewhere in Time.

Those were all the false spoilers that either turned out to be for other international races, or not right altogether

and the teams were the most mentioned that i could think of

i did something like this once a while ago, was it for 15? or maybe 16... i can't remember now...
