I'm bored, so I'll make another fantasy route.

Start Line: USA, Atlanta, GA

Leg1 USA--->Belize (Belize City)
Leg2 Belize--->Trinidad and Tobago
Leg3 Trinidad and Tobago--->Brazil (Amazon Rainforest)
Leg4 Brazil--->South Africa (Cape Town)
Leg5 South Africa (Cape of Good Hope)
Leg6 South Africa--->Greece (Athens)
Leg7 Greece (Crete)
Leg8 Greece--->Cyprus
Leg9 Cyprus--->China (Tibet)
Leg10 China--->South Korea (Busan)

Heh. You're on the same Caribbean path I am on.

always think of new countries I want to see on TAR in relation to each other and how big of a logistical nightmare they are. So here's a route where I tried to cram as many new countries as possible. It's beyond fantasy, it's pure insanity but it's fun.

Departure: Miami (I want the Caribbean islands more than I want a quirky departure city and this makes it more likely due to flight availability.)

Leg 1: Miami, USA - St. Marteen, The Netherlands Antilles

Clue should be about flying to the Netherlands though and make it an actual CLUE for the teams to solve before booking the right flight so they don't end up in Amsterdam. Something like fly to the tropical part of the Kingdom, lame example but you get my drift.

Leg 2: St. Marteen - Curacao - Trinidad and Tobago

Trinidad Tobago is just a short skip by air from the Netherlands Antilles so they can start the leg by island hopping to one of the other gorgeous ABCs for a task, I picked Curacao because it has direct flights to TT.

Leg 3: Trinidad and Tobago - Brasilia, Brazil.

Not a new country, but a new and quite interesting side of Brazil. There are at least three connecting flights I could find and they don't seem too horrible.

Leg 4: Brasilia, Brazil - Asuncion, Paraguay.

Finally, Paraguay!

Leg 5: Asuncion, Paraguay - Barcelona, Spain - Andorra.

Andorra is a good opportunity for "Drive yourselves" from Barcelona in some beautiful scenery and a mountain task in a microstate to boot.

Leg 6: Andorra - Brussels, Belgium

Flight connections through Perpignan, France where they can again drive themselves from Andorra, this time in even more spectacular scenery and on an even more tricky road.

Leg 7: Brussels, Belgium - Almaty, Kazakhstan

Decent connections through Istanbul. Kazakhstan is huge, exotic and offers plenty of opportunities for train traveling and mining-related punishing tasks.

Leg 8: Almaty, Kazakhstan - Turkestan, Kazakhstan
Turkestan is one of the few truly old, historical cities in this vast country, well-worth a double Kazakh leg since they're not there every year.

Leg 9: Kazakhstan - Amman, Jordan

Flight connections through Abu Dhabi. Jordan has breathtaking sights and cultural richness. Pit Stop at Petra would be unforgettable.

Leg 10: Amman, Jordan - South Africa

So much of South Africa still left to explore!

Leg 11: South Africa - Tasmania, Australia

See Brazil. Just because it's been featured a lot doesn't mean we haven't missed out on some unique parts of it.

Leg 12: Finale Megaleg Tasmania - Fiji - USA

Yeah... I know.

Sorry to tell you that some things on your fantasty route for the race sounds too off.  First, they visited Guilin on TAR14 and Agra on TAR1.  Also there is no travel ban on Mexico from the USA, it only advises people to avoid cities like Cuidad Juarez and other northern Mexican cities. Cities like Mazatlan, Guadalajara, Cabos San Lucas, and Puerto Vallerta are safe to visit.  Also traveling by bus to Lhasa sounds too risky, taking a plane would be easier and I don't think there are any ferries from Gabon to Sao Tome.

There are ferries between Libreville to Sao Tome and Principe islands BTW. And if you've read it, I didn't say I want them to go on Guilin again: If you'll read I said I want a place like Guilin. Like Guilin =/= In Guilin. And I know Agra was visited, but the Taj Mahal was not seen (although edited out).

And about the Tibetan trip: yeah, I think the bus trip would be dangerous, but it would be awesome and yep, kinda off. That's the only part in this route that I think would be an impossible feat.

Well, I don't really understand what you mean. Agra was used as a pit stop and the Taj Mahal was used for a route info clue box on the next epidode. The teams left the pit stop and went to the Taj Mahal to get their clue. The Taj Mahal, in all its glory, is certainly in my DVD.

I don't have an overall fantasy route, but there are a couple of places I want TAR 18 to go:

First is the Amazon rainforest in Brazil.  It's a really fascinating place, and it's vital for biodiversity and avoiding global warming.  Second, I want the teams to end the race in Philadelphia.  It's near where I live, and I'd love to see them near my backyard.

I'm hoping Australia gets visited this time around. The last visit was in TAR 9, so I think Australia is overdue. I'm hoping for an east coast visit, with either Melbourne or Sydney hosting a leg.

Portugal and South Africa also seem overdue to me, I'd like to see TAR18 have a leg in both of them. Africa in general has been pretty sparse since season 12, so hopefully we get two or more legs there too.

New countries I would like to see would be Belgium, Denmark, Bulgaria, Colombia or Laos.
