Sadly my country (philippines) will not be feature on TAR 18 thanks to changing the country's tourism logo that bought about its controversy. :'(

Topaz why will this stop the race from visitng?

Ignore it. The race had been planned months ago, and the logo-controversy (which is very shallow BTW) is just a week old. It won't affect it by any means.

They could always change their plans 9Season 8 producers cancelled a leg in belize and moved it to Utah.)

Yup, but what I really mean is that a simple mistake like that won't alter anything. It's not a hurricane, it's not a calamity either: it's just the stupidity of the government. No one was affected, it was just a controversy.

But still, I don't think they'll visit here. :lol:

Let's see

Leg 1 : Wyoming (USA) ---> Dominican Republic
Leg 2 : Dominican Republic ---> Greenland
Leg 3: Greenland ---> Egypt
Leg 4 : Egypt ---> Saudi Arabia (Mecca)
Leg 5: Mecca ---> Italy (Rome)
Leg 6: Italy ---> Israel (Tel Aviv)
Leg 7: Israel ---> Indonesia
Leg 8: Indonesia ---> Burma
Leg 9: Burma ---> North Korea
Leg 10: North Korea ---> New Zealand
Leg 11: New Zealand ---> Ohio

Pretty exotic isn't it? No linear leg available (staying in one country for extended time)

I just want them to come near me in Canada! Haha. I wasn't a TAR watcher when they went to Niagara Falls, NY (i think) in the first all stars? And that is only like five minutes across the boarder from me  :(  I'd like to see Greece on the race too

Sure, I've got nothing to do.

Again, following the 11-team, 12-leg format...

1. San Diego, USA -> Copenhagen, Denmark
2. Copenhagen, Denmark -> Varna, Bulgaria
3. Varna, Bulgaria -> Sochi, Russia (boat across the Black Sea?)
4. Sochi, Russia -> Vladivostok, Russia
5. Vladivostok, Russia -> Majuro, Marshall Islands
6. Majuro, Marshall Islands -> Singapore
7. Singapore -> Melbourne, Australia
8. Melbourne, Australia (and surrounding rural area)
9. Melbourne, Australia -> Brasilia, Brazil
10. Brasilia, Brazil -> Potosí, Bolivia
11. Potosí, Bolivia -> Iqaluit, Canada
12. Iqaluit, Canada -> Boston, USA

Interesting route map, variety of climates, 3 new countries.

I love routo map do mind i borred

They haven't visited Spain in a while.
The Easter Islands is a possibility.
Jordan is probably too dangerous.

with now 4 (possibly) 5 legs (yes, i do count a TBC as a leg) here is my route:

Leg 1: L.A., U.S.A. to Sydney, Australia (TBC - 11 teams)
Leg 2: Sydney to Broken Hill, Australia (EL - 11teams)
Leg 3: Broken Hill, Australia to Tokyo(?), Japan (EL - 10 teams)
Leg 4: Tokyo, Japan to Lijiang, China (EL - 9 teams)
Leg 5: Lijiang, China to Vientiane, Laos (EL - 8 teams)
Leg 6: Vientiane, Laos to Chiang Mai, Thailand (NEL - 7 teams)
Leg 7: Chiang Mai to Bangkok, Thailand (EL - 7 teams)
Leg 8: Bangkok, Thailand to Doha, Qatar (NEL - 6 teams)
Leg 9: Doha, Qatar to Nairobi, Kenya (EL - 6teams)
Leg 10: Nairobi, Kenya to Sofia, Bulgaria (EL - 5 teams)
Leg 11: Sofia, Bulgaria to Rome, Italy (NEL - 4 teams)
Leg 12: Rome, Italy (EL - 4 teams)
Leg 13: Rome, Italy to Philadelphia, U.S.A. (Finale)

5 continents, and it follows the 2 legs in 3 countries, and penultimate city double leg trends of late (save S17)

the Philippine leg of TARA4 in TAR would be so great!!..

So sad to hear that the Philippines would not be visited in the next season :'( ...

Hey, RFF people (especially those Filipino people here). I'd like to recommend this leg to the TAR management. Can you evaluate this?

  • Manila (Ninoy Aquino International Airport)
  • Manila (Fort Santiago)
  • Sta. Rosa, Laguna 'Detour' (Enchanted Kingdom)
Detour:High and Dry or Low and Wet
High and Dry: Similar to TARA4 task in Australia where they ride this very high ride and spot a man holding a placard revealing the next destination. Once they've spotted it, they will receive their next clue.
Low and Wet: Teams must ride "Rio Grande Rapids" ride. Once in there, they must look for letters spelling the surname of the national hero RIZAL. Once they've known the word, they will receive their next clue.
*If they fail to do either task, they must repeat it until they succeed.
  • Calamba City, Laguna (Jose Rizal Shrine)
  • Los Baños, Laguna 'Roadblock' (Baker Hall, UPLB)
Roadblock: They must do the task similar to TAR 10's Leg 9 where the teams rapelled down face first. They will do it on UPLB's Carillon Tower.
  • Los Baños, Laguna 'Pit Stop' (International Rice Research Institute) OR;
  • Lumban, Laguna (Lake Caliraya Country Club) OR
  • San Pablo, Laguna (Villa Escudero) OR
  • Tagaytay City (Picnic Grove-Taal Volcano backdrop or People's Palace in the Sky) OR

Just hoping that TAR would visit the Philippines again soon.
