I have added more info to live thread from twitter source:

"saw them last night [10 Nov 2010], around 1130pm, around 6-8 teams at the Venetian Casino Resort in Macau. That's all I know!"

Also, I think there would be more options flying to Hong Kong instead of Macau direct. Remember TAR11 they flew to Hong Kong then got the 2 hour ferry accross to Macau.
"I wish the world was flat like the old days, and I could travel just by folding a map."

Through professional collaboration with the Krakow Film Commission, this year we decided to organize the implementation of the Israeli edition of the whole episode was in Krakow - emphasizes Mark Adam - the person responsible for the implementation of most episodes taking place in Europe.

A leg in Krakow would serve well in the 5 day gap between Frankfurt, Germany and Bat Yam, Israel

4: Macau, China (baccarat task spoiled)
5/6: South Africa (spoiled TBC in Cape Town, Pit Stop run in ad matches the scenery at the other Israel Pit Stop)
7: Czech Republic via Frankfurt, Germany
8: Krakow, Poland (confirmed by newspaper article for TARI2)
9: Israel
10: Sri Lanka
11: Singapore
12: Perth

That's eleven countries -- Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Africa, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Sri Lanka and Singapore -- and knowing the producers they're either mixing up "legs" and "countries", or counting a probable Macau entry/exit via Hong Kong as a separate country.

We know for sure the first six legs are in those locations, and the same for the last four (though it's less easy to pinpoint exact cities), meaning we've got to shoehorn in four countries (or three leaving Hong Kong out) into the two spare legs. I'd bet we're continuing the "Frankfurt is a place to go to get to other places" running joke and copying the excellent first Czech Republic leg as our Leg 7, then going to Krakow in Leg 8, before Israel in Leg 9.

What I can't get having analysed the promo's is when are teams eliminated! Everyone is seen saying or being something/somewhere past Indonesia Leg 1!

9 teams seem to make it to South Africa, so Leg 5?....??

Frontloaded NELs, like TARA4 had? Starting with 11 teams, the same NEL placement that season had would put us in South Africa with nine teams.

That is what it looks like to me, yes...and it fits with the Cape Town leg having an intersection with 8 teams

I think we are looking at:

Leg 1 - Melbourne, Victoria/ Bali, Indonesia - Non-Elimination
Leg 2 - Vung Tau, Vietnam - Elimination (Liberty and Ryot?)
Leg 3 - Hue, Vietnam - Non-Elimination
Leg 4 - Hong Kong & Macau,China - Elimination (Tracy and Anne-Marie?)
Leg 5 - Johannesburg, South Africa - Elimination
Leg 6 - Cape Town, South Africa - Intersection with 8 - Elimination

and then Leg's 7-12 in Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Israel, Sri Lanka and Singapore to round out the 11 countries...

The presskit glossary confirms that there are THREE NELs, each with MFE as the penalty (though, oddly, the graphics on the same page of the PDF include what appears to be a Speed Bump clue). With eleven teams and a final three, this means we have exactly twelve legs, possibly 13 if there's also a TBC.

This confirms Lombok, southern Vietnam, Hue, HK/Macau, and two South Africa legs as the first six locations, and that Fremantle is Leg 12, Singapore is Leg 11, and Sri Lanka is Leg 10. Judging from the dates and the awkward connection between Israel and Sri Lanka, I'd wager that Frankfurt and Krakow share Leg 7, Israel is Leg 8, and Italy (likely Rome) is Leg 9. Low budget or not, they won't be spending only one leg in Europe (especially with only two in Africa and none in the Americas).

I have information to suggest only a very small amount of time was spent in Europe. This definately means 1 leg a 2nd leg is unconfirmed.

Could someone check who's the girl who refuses to help Joey and Richard when their car gets stuck?

Wait, everyone is safe in Indonesia?!
Ryot/Liberty: Safe until Vietnam (he's the one who refuses to help Joey, right?)
Anastasia/Chris: Safe until Vietnam
Tracy/Anne-Marie: Safe until Hong Kong
Mo/Mos: Safe until Pit Stop in desert
Sam/Renae: Safe until South Africa
Dave/Kelly: Safe until South Africa
Alana/Mel: Safe until South Africa
Sam/Renae: Safe until South Africa
Joey/Richard: Safe until South Africa
Tyler/Nathan: Safe until South Africa
Matt/Tom: Safe until Israel

I believe it's Mel who says no one will jump out and help Joey & Richard.

I too think it's Ryot who denies Joey's help at the Roadblock in Vietnam.

Indonesia is a non-elimination. I am pretty damn sure of that. And all evidence points to Ryot and Liberty going 1st in Vietnam, Anne-Marie and Tracy going 2nd in China, and 9 teams in Jo'Burg, 8 teams in Cape Town - intersection also here - and so goes from there...

Based on the cities known and the preview's list of countries, this looks likely to be our route:

S: Melbourne
1: Lombok, Indonesia
2: Vung Tau, Vietnam
3: Hue, Vietnam
4: Macau, China (via Hong Kong)
5: Garden Route, South Africa
6: Cape Town, South Africa
7: Unknown city in the Netherlands (via Frankfurt, Germany) [PLEASE let it be Rotterdam!]
8: Prague, Czech Republic
9: Krakow, Poland
10: Tel Aviv/Dead Sea, Israel
11: Unknown city in Sri Lanka
12: Perth, Australia (via Singapore)

If we've got 13 episodes instead, I'd bet on Singapore and Perth being two separate episodes as opposed to any of the other options (it's definitely not Hong Kong, and it seems to be a deliberate recurring joke to sidestep Frankfurt -- TAR9 to Stuttgart, TAR16 to Hamburg, TARA2 to Prague). The complete lack of spoilers between the flight to Frankfurt and departing Israel means the route is speculative, but I can't see any reason why you would go from Germany to the eastern European pair before backtracking to the Netherlands and ducking down to Israel... unless the "fly to Israel" clue is a morbid tie-in to The Diary of Anne Frank or something, and even then Auschwitz is just as appropriate, perhaps even more so.

Something I just noticed: Spoilers suggest Ryot/Liberty are the first team booted. Since we know everyone gets to Vietnam, it seems they get booted in Week 2 (nobody in their right mind would start a season with back-to-back NELs, especially in the show's first season). But isn't that Ryot refusing to help Joey in their commercial? She's holding one of the coins from the task Natalie quit on TAR Asia, which would place it in Hue... and in Leg 3.

Yes, there are two Vietnam RoadBlocks in the previews -- the ox task, with a Big W team member clearly shouting assistance from the side of the field; and the coin task from TARA3's Hue leg.

...And before you suggest it's a two-RB leg, the same Big W lady is seen doing both tasks.

Is the ox-task definitely a RB, when both ladies are working in the field with the ox, and so are Alana and Mel, and Ryot and Liberty?.......!!! I think it's more likely a Detour at Vung Tau, as was the task for TAR5 Philipines

I'm thinking that Vung Tau is a Detour, ox task or the carrying chickens...whereas the RB is the coins and stairs at the Khai Sanh Mausoleum...

i think vietnam is one leg based on the previews, i see the hue imperial city as the pit stop, and the leg would probably go like this:

fly to hcmc
some random task at hcmc
bus to hue (?)
hue (detour: chickens (seen in the promos) or buffalos (episode 2 teaser) )
hue (tomb roadblock)
hue (imperial palace pit stop)

That's just the assumption at the moment. I agree with immabe, I think Vietnam is one leg, why would there be two non-eliminations in Leg 1 and 3, especially since spoilers/spec don't agree

Vietnam just being one leg would also give us the extra room we need for Singapore, since Grant confirmed in the intro that there are 12 legs:

1. Lombok, Indonesia
2. Hue, Vietnam
3. Macau, China (via Hong Kong)
4. Garden Route, South Africa
5. Cape Town, South Africa
6. ??, Netherlands (via Frankfurt, Germany)
7. Prague, Czech Republic
8. Krakow, Poland
9. Masada, Israel
10. Colombo, Sri Lanka (I see it being more likely they give us this excellent leg instead of the subpar Galle leg)
11. Singapore
12. Perth, Australia

Egypt is definitely FALSE. We know from Grant that there are 12 countries on the route, and all of them -- Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Africa, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and Australia -- are mentioned by name in the preview commercials.

We know it's Masada because Grant's "watch out world, the Aussies are coming!" is filmed on the Israeli side of the Dead Sea near Masada. And we know the Garden Route is there because the shots we've seen of the South Africa legs match up to those from TAR Israel's first leg, which went to said Garden Route.

Since we've got a TBC, and the presskit confirmed specifically that there were three non-elimination legs with the MFE penalty, that means we've got the first 13-episode race since TARA2. What I'm thinking:

1. Melbourne to Lombok, Indonesia (NEL)
2. Lombok to Hue, Vietnam (Ryot/Liberty)
3. Hue to Macau, China (Tracy/Anne-Marie)
4. Macau to Addo, South Africa (Richard/Joey)
5. Addo to Cape Town, South Africa (Mo/Mos)
6. Cape Town to Prague, the Czech Republic (Alana/Mel)
7. Prague to Kutna Hora, the Czech Republic (TBC)
8. Kutna Hora to Krakow, Poland (Tyler/Nathan)
9. Krakow to Tel Aviv, Israel (NEL)
10. Tel Aviv to Masada, Israel (Dave/Kelly)
11. Masada to ???, Sri Lanka (NEL)
12. ??? to Singapore (Matt/Tom)
13. Singapore to Fremantle (Final 3)

The reason I've added another leg in Israel? Spoiler dates are coming up two days short at about that point (at the moment, Hue, Addo, and Cape Town can be confirmed as extended Pit Stops by the spoiler dates), and one of the Israel spoilers suggested they started a leg in the middle of the country before heading north to the Dead Sea.

Are we able to work out from the episodes which Pit Stops were extended? Based on spoiler dates in Hue, Macau, Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Frankfurt, it seems Hue and the two South African legs both ended in extended Pit Stops, but the only spoilers for the rest of the race are for the Sri Lanka flights and the final day. I'm thinking Masada was one based on how refreshed everybody seemed, but we're still at least a day short heading into Sri Lanka.

Did someone say timeline? Needs a couple of corrections -- Sam & Renae should be switched for the final two Road Blocks, I need to change the name of the durian temple, and I'm still not entirely sure on the extended Pit Stops, but... you know. At least it's done.

For comparison's sake, here's what the old version of the graphs for TAR18 looked like. Better or worse?
