Stephanie is HERE during the proposal....

They are not climbing the stairs to the Incense Burner. They are climbing the stairs to the Portuguese Watch Tower to get a clue to where to go next, either the detour or RB. That rapelling challenge is not at Riyam Park.

They are climbing the stairs all the way down on the left by the shorter of the two Portuguese Watch Towers. The sidewalk in front of this camera view is where Chad proposes,. thanks for the great photo TarJunkie999 The other teams are sitting by the fountain on the right. Car Park is to the far right.

I have to wonder if that is Brooke in #32 and 33.
While driving, at the detour, and in the confessional, she is wearing a black top and cap with a white plastic watch. The person in question here is wearing a pink shirt with a pink bandanna and a yellow watch.
Since they are sitting on that wall presumably waiting for HoO this should be before the detour and the confessional and after the "driving and being stopped by cops at night" scene. I am confused.   :duno:

Based on this picture from the preview that I adjusted a little, I think that could be Mallory in 32 and 33.

I'm sorry, that's a typo.  :groan: I never would have mistaken that for Mallory. I think it is Chad because the accompanying audio is him speaking.

Looking at this pic, I think it is possible that Brooke and Claire might be riding in an ore hauling truck, ie, a huge dumptruck. There are open pit mines in Oman, north of Muscat near Sohar, Oman. I wonder if CBS has fudged out part of the truck in the pic out the window. Sohar is about 120/130 miles from Muscat, but in the same direction as the airport. Sohar has at least one fine hotel, the Crown Plaza for possible pit stop. Also a nice beach resort too. It is Oman's second city according to Wiki. It might only 90 miles from Sohar to the airport. In TAR9 they went south of Muscat, so this time maybe they went north.

Here is a pic of a ore hauling truck. I am not saying it is an ore hauling truck, but just looks like it could be the  lower part of the front to me out the window. Something similar to what they changed the tire nuts on in TAR11. There are also mountains in the area where the rapelling task could be done too. Plus it is a good place to hide from us.

This is just a typical Bedouin tent. It is set up for chai (tea). Is that Chad in the background? It could be a drink some tea for route info deal. I think we will have to wait for more info on this.

The episode title says Muscat, so I am thinking that the whole leg may take place there.

But could teams have to go by truck to the desert for the tent whatever it is? That is one big pot of tea or coffee...and Bedouins are known for their hospitality.

That could be get a clue, then go to rappell.

I'm not sure about them traveling all the way to Sohar. That is a long drive, especially considering that they are going south to Riyam first. It is possible that there is another mine though, and I do think they are in one of those trucks.

Surmountable obstacles
As a destination for rock-climbers, Oman is unmatched in the region for its appeal and many outdoor activities take place around the mountain ranges. More than 160 climbs have been pioneered, and graded from easy to extremely difficult. Jebel Ghul in the Al Dakhiliyah region towers 300 metres and offers Alpine-style climbing at its best. The Jebel Misfah, which is part of the Jebel Akhdar range, features climbs varying from 120 metres to 500 metres.

The best-known site is Jebel Misht in Nizwa, which has the largest rock face in the Arabian Peninsula. It's essential to be in good physical condition in order to negotiate the climb and it's also advisable to engage a local guide familiar with the terrain.

The mountains provide excellent conditions for trekking. Trips to Jebel Akhdar and Jebel Shams in Nizwa can be arranged easily through local tour operators. The Eastern Hajar mountains enable you to combine trekking in the mountains and camping on the beaches. In addition to enjoyable trekking, these spots provide breathtaking views of surrounding areas.

Jebel Shams (Jabal Shams), or "mountain of the sun", is the highest point in Oman at over 3,000 metres. The trek to the Wadi Nakhr Gorge, also known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, is an unforgettable experience. The trek to reach the cliff dwellings in the canyon begins at the village of Al Khateem and the path is littered with rocky rubble. Deep bends, overhanging rocks and panoramic views of the canyon all add to the exhilarating experience.

Situated 145 kilometres southwest of Muscat at the far end of Wadi Bani Awf in the Wilayat of Rustaq is Snake Canyon, which offers once-in-a-lifetime experiences for adventure-seekers. At 1,000 metres, the canyon is a 200-metre deep fissure, approximately three kilometres long, providing an idyllic location where visitors can walk, swim, or climb rocks.

In an interview with Rob and Amber after they were eliminated from the All Stars, they alluded that either Oswald and Danny or Dustin and Kandice would win. Neither won. All I'm saying is that M\K may be playing a reverse psychology game by alluding to a team that will be eliminated.
Of course, this may just be over-analyzation.

From caps 17 and 18 it looks like they may be on a butte looking formation like Jebel Misht. I don't tend to think that they could go to Riyam, Sohar, and Nizram all in one leg though.

Riyam Park is right in Muscat...not sure why that is a problem?

It's a ways from the airport, which is not really in Muscat, but it could go with either of the others (and we know it is included). I just think including Sohar and Nizram is too much driving. I believe there are some mines around Nizram, can anyone confirm this?

About Chad & Stephany, is it that they got overslept at the Pitstop as Peggy and Claire did? There's a shot of the pitstart, so that may be a hint?
