Caps!

I think that is either Chad or Steph's jacket on the rail in cap 14. And perhaps cap 30 is a suggestion that they are changing Detours?? ???

Nat & Kat are in the film room and in the piano room.
Mallory mockingly playing the piano could suggest they tried the piano Detour or that the piano Detour seemed annoying so they chose the Film Detour.

Does the Movie task is a real detour? Or could it be a RB? Why does (in caps) Mallory ran to her dad and hug him? Does Gary doesn't allow to help Mallory? Oh gosh, i wish they're ok there... :(

We see Nat and Kat and Thomas and Jill all in the film pile at the same time...so it does appear to be a Detour choice.

I wouldn't blame anyone who used it on them.  They've been pretty solid.  Also, maybe the bigger target got past the U-Turn before it could be used, so Gary & Mallory got hit with it.

Any chance for this leg being a non-elimination? I know it's too soon for US TAR (we just had one 2 weeks ago) but with the subsequent leg being pegged as an elimination ("final showdown for elimination... russian lawn game") could it be so? Gary/Mallory leaving now would be pretty upsetting considering how well they've been doing...   :(
They've never, ever taken the F7 beyond the sixth episode (or sixth leg, in TAR6's case, as that one did have it happen in episode seven) before cutting down to the F6.  They might have if this were a thirteen-legger, but since it's a twelve-legger . . . I don't think so.  So that, plus everything here, as well as the sightings, points to me to thinking this next episode, if it has a Pit Stop and is not a TBC, will end with an elimination.  Also, I think episode seven will be the F6 elimination, making the rest of the race a fairly predictable NEL-Elimination-NEL-Elimination-F3 scheme for the last five legs.

True, but they've never, ever had a F9 NEL before...so who knows!

well episode 7 was still Leg 6. It had been planned to be 6 legs. but its illegal to beg in Hungary so they made it a double leg. it was still leg 6.

but I do think it is a NEL.

Peach I think we have better chances being cast as a team of racers then production getting rid of the U-Turn.  Hate it so, so much.

I don't know if this can be a hint.
but I was watching the videos of the teams they post after the episode.
Nick and Vicky think Gary/Mallory are strong (with the high spec of them u turned)
Chad/Steph think Brook and Claire are strong.
and Jill and Thomas think they arent a target anymore.

I thought it  might be The Battleship Potemkin, so I watched it a couple of nights ago. No luck, the "surrendered" never shows on screen. It's some other silent film with machinery shots and a Trotsky-looking dude (they all looked like Trotsky back then )

wonder if it's Eisenstein's classic Soviet film "October".

I think you're correct - it fits with the "surrender" subtitle.

The "surrendered" subtitle comes up around 1hr 24 minutes into the film - just after the bicycle battalion rallies to the soviets. "The cossacks... ...surrendered".
And this picture from the movie matches cap number 17 from the latest promo...

Its about the Russian Revolution - 1917 - and some guy named Vladimir Ulyanov (Lenin).
Here's a picture of the director Sergei Eisenstein. Guys sure looked freaky in those days. :ascared

I don't think it was Eisenstein's film. How about this:

        Surrender

        USA, 1927, 77 minutes, B&W, silent
        Directed by Edward Sloman

Surrender, one of the few American silent feature films to deal with life in a European Jewish shtetl is filled with the details of village life and Jewish customs. Based on "Lea Lyon" by Alexander Brody, the film’s story unfolds on the eve of WWI in an Austrian village where the chief Rabbi's daughter, Lea, encounters Prince Constantine, a Russian officer.

The two are immediately taken with each other, but Lea's father denounces the Russian as an oppressor and bids him farewell. When war breaks out and Prince Constantine comes back to invade the village, he demands Lea in exchange for the life of the village. Lea’s passion for the Prince, and her concern for the lives of the villagers, conflict with her father's view that it is right to resist such a sinful demand. Although Lea makes a decision, the course of the war and the Russian revolution ultimately determine who is considered a hero and who a traitor in this plot-twisting melodrama about passions both political and personal.

Note that Prince Constantine was a Russian officer and this is related to the Russian Revolution.  You have the Russian ties there.
