no confirmation whatsoever for now... I ever received a message from my friend though, stating that he saw an advertisement somewhere of Allan Wu teaser on TARA5, but no official news... :(

@annabel_hazel Yeah...I think TARA is still in hibernation for another year... :-( However, there's always The Amazing Race China Rush! ;-)

With the China Rush 3 is being introduced and its production is underway.. Does this means that TARA-5 will possibly not continue in 2012..
(as we consider Allan Wu still hosting CR-3)  :cmas11
due to the existence of TAR Philippines and Vietnam, I doubt that there'll be no more TAR Asia in the future just like what happened to TAR Brazil before when it was only premiered on 1st season but when TARLA came a year later, the TAR Brazilian franchise was gone. :'(

or the other way around? TAR:CR, TARP, and TARV is not intended to be broadcast outside their respective countries...

maybe China, Philippines and Vietnam won't have representatives for TARA? Either way I don't think the creation of these local franchises will be a big reason why TARA shouldn't continue.

Err, I seriously doubt that would be a reason to cancel TARA. They're all done by different networks and production companies which have their own separate licenses and contracts to produce a show. TARBrazil, I believe, was just a one-time stint and was not cancelled because of there being a Latin American version.

I am pretty certain this show is dead.

Reasons:

1. It's been nearly 2 years without TARA, it can't keep going with such huge breaks between seasons. We've already had a 1 year gap between TARA3 and TARA4

2. Allan Wu seems to be focusing on China Rush

3. It's obvious the show has budget problems, evident by the decline in production quality and the incredible amount of product placements that plague the show. This is ironic considering the rise in TARA's rating over the seasons.

Yep, the show for me is dead, just like it's quality. I don't mind product placement as long as it keeps a show running, but this is waaaay too much and not worth it. TAR fans in Asia, Rejoice! There are now more asian versions of TAR being produced. Only time will tell how good they are.

TARAsia rest in peace, you've had a good run, but then had to destroy yourself (TARA3) and even after a respectable attempt to recover (TARA4), it wasn't enough. Out with the old and in with the new.

Then again...

I may be wrong. Who knows? the show may return in 2012 or 2013 and it might blow our minds. here's to hoping that happens. :jam:

I hope this show is not dead. It's the only TAR edition close enough for me to participate.
