This is a show I've started doing on Youtube, it's basically a recap of The Amazing Race, with a healthy dose of my personal opinion included.
Episode 1: Ranking the teams

Agreed! Non-elimination wasted on another "producer's favorite".
Steve & Allie: We got a little more of them this week, and I really think I will love them, but I've got to see more of them first.
On a side note, I liked Louie & Michael more this leg, maybe it's just because they were happier than usual.

Non-elimination legs were already planned before the race actually started!! So they didn't just throw non-elimination in to save Jeff and Jordan! Jeff and Jordan were just dumb enough to be lucky to come in the last place at right time.

Is the DUMB word just one used for JJ or can anyone apply...Geesh! Are they dumb for being already on BB or what? Does the German cabbie not knowing how to read his GPS make them dumb..I dislike that word used on anyone...Ppl, all teams....aren't dumb..just lucky or unlucky!

Please! I enjoy the discussion.
And Luke, I never meant to imply that the NEL was planned, I was merely expressing my frustration that Team Almost Famous caught it.

I know that. Most of us here follow this show obsessively, after all.
But that doesn't change that it looks suspicious when it happens almost every season nowadays. Until it stops happening, I'm never going to be 100% sure that it isn't meant to save certain teams.

The only problem I have with that logic is that if they have pre-planned all the NEL's for specific teams, then why not pre-plan the entire race using actors? It'd make saving the producers favorite a lot smoother after all.

While I always subscribed to the same thought process (or rather believed it I guess?) I called J and J being saved as soon as I saw they were last. Have we EVER had a NEL THIS early in the game? Talk about fishy.
Also regarding the review: Cowboys took so long because they had never drank before. When they first found out they had to finish the boot one was quoted as saying he had never had a beer before in his life. Can't say that about both of them for all I know but it definitely made it harder. Being that beer is somewhat of an acquired taste, I can't blame them for taking a while on it.

TAR6 had a NEL on the 4th leg. TARs 5, 7, 8, 10, AS & 14 had a NEL on the 5th. And TAR15 had the NEL to spare the double elim on leg 1. So, the location of this NEL doesn't seem that fishy to me (with half of the races having a NEL before leg 6).

Thanks for that. Seemed really early to me but I guess not. I don't count that NEL on leg one though lol!

Yeah they were planned but I don't really like (BUT NOT HATE!) Jeff and Jordan. I don't count leg 1 of TAR 15 to be NEL because the team was eliminated at the starting line though the pitstop was a non elimination point.
Back to topic, on with the reviews!, keep it up!
