Vanuatu next location for Survivor
Vanuatu has beaten six other South Pacific destinations to host the next Survivor television series.
The show is expected to be seen by more 20 million people in the US, and millions more around world.
The Vanuatu government is refusing to disclose where amongst the nation's 80-plus islands the series will be filmed.
Vanuatu Tourism Office general manager Linda Kalpoi said winning the rights to host the series could not have come at a better time, as her office was currently stepping up its promotional efforts in both North America and Canada.
ôSurvivor will generate enormous worldwide exposure for Vanuatu, and from this week the CBS TV network, its affiliated stations and cable channels around the world will start airing promotional material about Vanuatu," Kalpoi said.
