An interesting article:

Going To The Mall? Add Auditioning For Survivor To Your To-Do List!

Variety reports that Mark Burnett has struck a deal with MyStudio.net to help him with his mountainous task of looking for contestants on his dozen or so reality shows already on the air or in production.

Now along with Holiday shopping duty you can pop into a MyStudio kiosk booth and make your case directly to the Survivor creator for less than 20 bucks. And you can make it a family affair.

With shows like Survivor, The Apprentice and Toughest Cowboy there's a shot for everyone from blue collar roughneck to high flying biz executive. But don't forget the kids! Maybe your little one will be the next Daniel, Jesse or Sara, instant celebs after their appearances on Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

So head on out to the mall and take your best shot at being the next water cooler star on a Mark Burnett reality TV series today. And, oh yeah, don't forget to bring back some egg nog.

From Variety:

Burnett deal spurs reality auditions

Producer pacts to use Studio One's MyStudio

Mark Burnett has signed a multiyear agreement with Studio One Media to use the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company's new MyStudio service to audition reality show contestants.

Operating self-contained kiosks in high-traffic areas like shopping malls, MyStudio lets the average Joe create his own high-def video audition tape for around $20. Studio One also operates a Web-based product so that auditions can be directly uploaded online.

Flush with more than a dozen greenlit reality series either ramping up or in production, Burnett said his production company will use the service to augment its high-volume casting needs.
