Instead of going to India all the time, the race should always go to Southeast Asia and get some of that Caltex, Standard Chartered Bank, and Sony money.

Pedaler, I have to agree with you about India. I would love to see more southeast Asia and less (but not zero) India.

To be honest, I would not be surprised if the show went to more accessible places and less obscure locations to save money.

While I can understand the need to perhaps reduce costs where possible, I hope it doesn't become so budget constrained that it loses it's 'TARness'

That would definitely be the beginning of the end

We can all agree with that Mrs Shrek. I would hate to have TAR lose its specialness.

Budgets and cuts are not necessarily a bad thing though it just needs to be wisely and creatively spent

With that it is possible to effectively remain top notch and keep its TARness

Have faith in the Emmy winner, I do

I agree with Marigold. There is no law of nature that says that World Race Productions owes us a certain number of exotic new locations and no double legs at any location. If the sponsorship through advertisers or whatever alternative means is reduced, then reducing production costs is a must to maintain profitablility. CBS and Bertram van Munster are not running a charitable institution. Their major purpose is to make money and they have the right to make judicious cuts in their costs. Less elaborate and less difficult tasks, fewer advance people doing the setup and cleanup, more attention to airfare in seletion of new venues, and most particularly those double legs in the same placee are all things a prudent producer could do.

I'll say apskip correctly sums it up.
