Phil: Eight teams left La Paz Bolivia, for Auckland, New Zealand. Aja/Ty clashed when she tried to assert control. Ken/Tina beat Frats to the FF, only to come face to face with Tina's fear of heights. The rivalry between divorcees and siblings continued. Then, Starr crashed during the Detour and they fell behind. After completing the FF, Ken/Tina finished first. Marisa/Brooke fell behind and never caught up. They were eliminated.

Seven teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

Ken/Tina, CLUE, 6:03 am. CAMBODIA!
Phil: They'll fly to Siem Reap, make their way to a roadside gas pumping station for the next clue.

Terence/Sarah, 8:19 am.
T conf: We're getting stronger and more driveen!

Ken/Tina arrive Auckland airport.

Kelly/Christy, 9:32 am.
They're still "caught up" and like, valley girl talk!

Tina negotiates with a "booker." There appear to be only 2 flights this date to their destination.

A cop pulls up behind Terence. SIREN!
Tina: I pray Terence/Sarah don't get seats on this flight!
Cop: I caught you doing 117. Got a license on you?
Terence: It's only 100km?
Cop: Yes. 100.

Toni/Dallas, 10:15 am.
Toni conf: Realize I can't keep up with 20 or 30 years old unless I race smart.

Terence/Sarah arrive at the airport.
They try to get the flight Ken/Tina got, but "it's apparently closed already."

Nick/Starr leave (missed the time)
Starr: Another day, another roadblock, another detour.

Terence/Sarah get rerouted.
They're told to hurry and check in. They run toward the gate.
Guess they made the same flight.   
Tina is like, UGH.

Andrew/Dan, 12:24 pm.
Conf: Hopefully the flights are few and far between.
They snark at each other.
Some tension revealed in a confessional.

No more teams on the early flight.

Ty conf: We have our hiccups, but what relationship doesn't? I wouldn't trade her for a Porsche!
Ty: I want to see Dan's face when we catch up to him!

Nick/Starr, Toni/Dallas, Kelly/Christy ... all board.
Andrew/Dan arrive at the airport.
Clerk: It's doubtful.
Clerk to another clerk: How many seats actually on that flight?
Andrew: Please! Please!

Driving, a jillion miles from the airport are Aja/Ty.
Aja, dancing in the back seat: I'm so excited!

COMMERCIAL.

Andrew: It's critical that we get on this flight.
Clerk: Not this one.
Dan: It's bad.

Aja/Ty hope for an equalizer at the airport.
Andrew/Dan go to Emirates to reroute themselves. Success! They're boarding.
The other teams are amazed. How'd they get on the flight!?

Aja/Ty arrive at the airport. They get tickets.
Oops .... major delay for the lovebirds. They're ON a DIFFERENT FLIGHT.

Tina: We're really disappointed. We're all here except Ty/Aja.

Kelly/Christy get out and look for the cluebox.
Nick/Starr, CLUE: Choose a truck.
Phil: They'll have to fill the gas tank with 25 ltr diesel fuel w/an old hand pump.
Kelly/Christy still looking. They're lost.
Nick/Starr are done!
Nick/Starr, CLUE: Make your way ...
Phil: Jump in the back of the truck, to Siem Reap harbor, and take a marked boat to the Kho Andeth restaurant on the lake.

Kelly/Christy finish pumping.

They finally get it to work.

The rough ride in the back of the trucks ...
Now it's a race.
RAAAACCCEEEE!
Four teams all together one after another, racing to the harbor.
But not Nick/Starr, who aren't going the right way. Or so they think.

Andrew/Dan finish pumping.
Dan: Another case of us not getting things that everyone else is getting!
Aja/Ty arrive and start pumping.

Nick/Starr stop their driver.
Starr: "Senor, stop please!"
They get passed by Toni/Dallas.
Guess Nick/Starr were really ahead and didn't know it?

Terence/Sarah take a boat in 1st place and head for the restaurant on the lake, followed by Ken/Tina, Toni/Dallas.

Village work, take the boat to fishing grounds. Wade around, through fishing traps, find fish. Deliver traps back to the dock, transfer fish into baskets.

Phil: Go on an exploration of the largest religious structure in the world. Search the grounds for this small room, the Chamber of Echoes. Stand on this specific spot, make a specific sound by popping chest to create an echo through the chamber.

yep, i have to watch it again too! it was great watching it live with peach, pudding and gang - but it was too distracting typing, reading and watching! mswood, there are some advantages to our usual delay

Poor Aja & Ty just fell too far behind and couldn't make up the difference!  And Andrew & Dan got lucky they were able to make the same flight as the other teams, otherwise they might have been eliminated!

Anyway, I think Nick is too willing to lie in order to get ahead!  It might help him & Starr in the short term but will it help them in the long term?  Not certain!  Also, I'm a little worried about Dallas and Starr's romance.  It might hurt both teams, but it will most likely hurt Toni & Dallas more.  

I hope Kelly & Christy can avoid making little errors or getting bad taxi drivers who don't know where they're going!  I'd like to see them get into the Final 3 if only because I want to see an all-female team finally win the Race!

that WAS a good episode! some more time in cambodia and a little less in nz would have been good though.  aja and ty - well, they are a gorgeous couple but they were always trying to catch up. it's amazing how the divorcees and the frat boys are still hanging in there - every time i think they're cooked, they catch a break. wish mark and bill had :-(

I take back I said about Emmy Ep--way too much airport stuff and not near enough time at Tonle Sap and Angkor Wat. I loved every second of what we DID see--I just want more!! Oh why oh why couldn't THIS be the double leg??

Let's just put a few things into perspective:

1. Kelly and Christy are not a competitive team. They keep making stupid errors, which will kill them when the last team is trailing by only minutes and not over 5 hours (as happened to Ty/Aja). Another team that is going to be eliminated as a result of their stupid errors is Dan/Andrew, whose behavior up until finding the Echo Chamber was sophmoric and time-consuming.

2. CBS editors did their usual magic, but hopefully it did not fool you. You as a RFF member if you view spoilers would know that Aja/Ty reach Siem Reap airport at least 5 hours behind the other teams. All of them are long finished before Aja/Ty even get to the diesel fuel pump.

3. Nick and Starr are bending the standards of competitive behavior. Nothing that they do is illegal; it's just that everything is designed to give them an "unfair" advantage.

4. sunnyca, Aja is an aspiring actress working as a makeup artist to pay her bills.

Nobody has mentioned how long the pitstop was, because it wasn't 18 hours as Chateau and Michael speculated nor was it 24 hours as I speculated. We weren't very far off because it looks like 20 hours to me. I base that on the finish of Aja/Ty at the Summerhill Farm pitstop at about 7pm(way after dark) and their release at 304pm. The next thing to look at is the times to Auckland Inernational Airport. Ken says to add 3 hours. I think 2.5 hours is the maximum for a competent team(which Ken/Tina are). Anyway, at plus 2.5 hours after release we get:

Terence/Sarah 1049am
Kelly/Christy 1202pm
Dallas/Toni 1245pm
Nick/Starr 200pm
Dan/Andrew 234pm
Ty/Aja 534pm

Next, I want to match teams up with flight combinations:

Ken/Tina and Terence/Sarah - I heard something about Singapore Airlines. What matches up with that out of 3 alternatives is QF190 AKL SYD 1225 1430, connecting to SQ222 SYD SIN 1640 2145 and then 3K595 SIN REP 0600+1 0700+1. Kelly/Christy arrive at Auckland airport just after the closing of QF190.

Kely/Christy, Dallas/Toni, Nick/Starr and Andrew/Dan - get on AKL BNE EK433 1655 1835 this then continues on the same flight to Singapore with BNE SIN EK433 2045 0150+1 and then SIN REP 3K595 0600+1 0700+1

Aja/Ty - missed EK433 closing by about an hour, then took AKL SIN 2355 0645 SQ282 connecting there with SIN BKK SQ970 0845 1010 then BKK REP PG905 1100 1220.

And I haven't seen this episode, so that might be way I don't understand (though I do understand that Nick denied having found the clue in Angkor Wat).

mswood, I think you misunderstood my comment - "Nick and Starr are bending the standards of competitive behavior. This is based on behavior from Nick such as being OK to throw a log or branch into the road (on the way to the Siem Reap boat dock) to delay other teams to "hold them up for 30 seconds". Of course it wold have taken more than 30 seconds to do it, so if that's the time the next team is held up it would be counterproductive. The episode at the Bayon Temple was just a comment which any racer on any race might have said to hide the path to the clue they had just found and that another team was near. The latter in my book was acceptable behavior but the former was not, as there was the possiblity of real physical injury to other teams if Nick had actually done it. The key is the philosophy of Nick and Starr, which is "win at all costs" which as you can see I dislike intensely.

Michael, it's a personality type. I used to see many of that type in Corporate America. It's not me falling for editing. I really believe that Nick is a highly manipulative individual who will stop at nothing to reach his goal. We also know that Starr is exactly the same way from her statements before the race.

I assume that you are trying to tell me that Nick was elected to be the villain of AR13. That may be, but look at his underlying character.

Editing is all powerful.

So far I see intense racers with loads of drive and a very few mildly sneaky manoeuvres (I might do worse myself in the heat of the moment  )  I think they are playing hard to win, and that's good for the game. Remember the Cho's? I don't want any more "after you", "No, after YOU" 's on my races.

 I certainly am not able to comment on someone's character from the show so far.

Cool apskip I was curious what you were talking about.  But based on editing I would guess this didn't happen.  TYpical if a team is being editing as the devious one (which they are being shown as such) then they show us the bad behavior). 

I don't disagree that they are trying to win and will lie easily to do so, but beyond lying I haven't seen anything else.
