Welcome to the forum Abby . I don't know I think its too early to assume that its credentials that are lost this episode, it could be cBS hype and much to do about nothing but we shall see?

Here's the EP8 preview (when ready) for Michael.

Thanks for the preview link. How funny is it that Starr seems to have a stronger stomach than Nick? And Terrence may be explaining why they chose to abandon the FF.

Restaurant Alasha in Almaty

Excellent find Boingo - here's the pic of those plates (and lots of others - including dishes but unfortunately no sheep head  )

This may not be conclusive, but the red clue here make it look like the crane task is a Roadblock.

Also, cranes are parked at the gate where the teams are waiting to get in.

Can anyone read the name on the gate where everybody is rushing in (pix on on page 2)? Is that the gate to the chicken farm - it looks like the same building in the background.  There's at least 3 chicken farms in Almaty :
"ALMATY KUS" ...
"KOGER LTD" ...
"RUBI ROZ AGRIKOL"
Boy, I sure would don all the protection I could, there was an outbreak of avian flu in 2005 in Kazakhstan!

I think it's the first one you mentioned. I heard Tina say "alel agro chicken factory," which spots it here (for some reason, I can't connect with the expat street map I had been using). The company website is here (no Eng version that I could find). Almaty Kus is the company, Alel is the brand.

Here is my guess at where the Pit Stop is.  It's opposite the Old Government House that they drove the crane past.

Panoramio link

Notice that the lamps are the same.

Nope, I think the interviews are done at a different location, maybe where they spend the night.

I can see that happening Chateau

And maybe part of the Roadblock, like you mentioned, is taking the golden egg to point b to get your next clue to the Detour?

So maybe the Nomads and Falcon are window dressings, like the teams first task of the day?
Hit hours of operation
Roadblock/Golden Egg = we see Toni and Tina egging it
>> Cranes (maybe a part of the Roadblock?)= we see Toni and Dallas / Dandrew
Fast Forward/ sheep ass = Nick and Starr / Terence and Sarah
one Detour dress up like a cow in search of a milk stand
possible Detour, something to do with the cranes or something to do with the Nomads and Falcon

This may not be conclusive, but the red clue here make it look like the crane task is a Roadblock.

Also, cranes are parked at the gate where the teams are waiting to get in.

I would not be able to do a Fast-Forward like that one!  Trust me!  I'm very finicky with my food -- always have been.

If it helps with the searches, the rough address of the chicken farm is:

Первомайская Промзона (1st of May Street?)
Илийский район (Iliiskii district)

It's bringing up other businesses in the vicinity, but no location yet...

The front of the vehicle is no help: it's just a leasing company.

Toni and Dallas seem to be doing both detours. Could there be another Yield this episode?

^^ you mean a U-Turn? I guess anything is possible? but I think the cranes are related to the egg somehow who knows?

back to the farm *insert missing chicken emote here*

I'm quite confused about which is the Roadblock. The website clue says the golden egg is. But Andrew and Dan seems to be holding on to a Roadblock clue on the truck.

And what are the two Detours?
The truck and the cow?

I think it is very possible that there could be a U-TURN, since i think it is very easy to find the egg. And the cow thingy might be idiot proof?
