« on: October 06, 2008, 02:02:55 PM »
Is there any chance that in future Amazing Race Asias that they will travel over to the States...or is there some regulation in the US amazing Race that would exclude that from happening?

Just wondering ...

I think that is very possible, just not this time..

I think Michael McKay made a comment to this effect somewhere...I'll try to find it one of these days, lol!

I asked him about it and he told me in the interview at Fang's Bites:

FB: Will TARA eventually air in the US? I've had to find creative ways to watch the show, do you see TARA airing in the US sometime soon?

MM: For creative read highly illegal ;)

I don’t think so to be honest. The TAR and TARA series are both distributed by Disney who do a great job but I can’t see any of the non-USA versions screening in the US.

No Ken, not airing here...

I think what we are talking about is the possibility of teams actually running a leg here, and I remember Michael McKay saying it was possible...

FB: Will TARA eventually make a stop in the US? Last season, the show did go to Europe adding a new dimension to the game. Could we see a trip to the US in the near future?

MM: For sure! No reason why not.
