"Sign up for one of three/four charter planes/helicopters/buses/camels leaving the next morning leaving at staggered departure times."

"We're team number seven? / We're made the seven o' clock?"

I was thinking something similar, but might it be the mandatory "first leg" rest stop to meet and greet your fellow racers?  This military base is out of the way from the remaining spoiled locations by the coast.     .... but why do they need the chainsaw...

They have to do something at the the Maritime Terminal the following morning, at least that's how I'm reading it.

*The bahian capital is the scene chosen for the writings of reality American show "the Maratona", an international competition where teams cover some countries fulfilling a series of tasks. The program, that counts today on a hearing of more than 50 million people per year, already is being recorded in some of the main tourist points of Salvador.
*In the morning of this thursday (day 24), the competitors of reality show had had that to go down, in the style rappel, the 70 meters of the Lacerda Elevator. To carry through the test, that called the attention who passed for the place, the filming team installed a net to the long one of the elevator.

*Still inside of the actions of the program, new writings are foreseen tomorrow, of this time in the Maritime Terminal of Salvador, in the Commerce.
* Until the moment, already they had served of location for the international production the Square of the Sé, the Inclined Plan Gonçalves, the Order Third of the San Francisco (Historical Center), the Slope of the Carmo and the staircase of the Paço.

My guess the marine terminal is the point on the mainland where they go out to Forte Sao Marcelo (island).    But why the "next" day.

I'd say Forte Sao Marcelo day 2 as in April 25th based on the change of clothes

sunny we assome they go to almaty because we "see" them there in the promo, and Astana as well because of the capital comment.  Prob 2 legs.

FIJI is plastered on one of the screencaps in the thread above--2nd promo.

oh, i see, thanks - got it about fiji.  i just assumed that the names on these pix had nothing to do with the content, since this pic of dancers is from the andes somewhere, the "kenya" was kiwiland, and there certainly aren't any elephants in iceland!

So true! I think that is a very strange promo..it may look a little different once we see it in real time? Because the pics certainly don't match... I still find the inclusionof Fiji quite strange as well.

probably nothing, but the sign behind Terence & Sarah says "Agua de Coco Gelada".

What are they doing, manhandling a street vendor cart?

Might have a match here.... looks like our racers are in the Praca da Se area of Salvador de Bahia.

The building looks very much like the one behind the "giant" statue that Chateau found previously.  The windows are identical.  Statue may be on the side while the racers are near the front door.

Note to puddin: we may have "dueling racer topics/threads" till we sort all this out.

Remember this Matt shot?

It has the same squiggly sidewalk as our promo shots.  And, thanks to Boingo, we already have the address of the location:

Refreshments Changai and Perez - sandwich of ham
Address: Rua Conselheiro Saraiva, No. 32, Commerce., Bahia
Telefone: 3242-8270 Phone: 3242-8270

I can't agree to that because the guy in Fortaleza said he was involved with filming of racers in the morning of the 25th.

Close, but not quite.  This big "C" sign is on Rua Portugal (very near the sandwich shop) but Terence & Sarah appear to be on a narrower street.

Oh wait, this may be another sign on the same building but on the side facing the highrise buildings.

So, can they roll these things onto the Plano Inclinado Gonçalves?  It is located at the end of the street.

And it goes up to the Praça da Sé where we have another shot of them getting their next clue.
