Do NOT get me started on Antarctica! When they didn't go there for All Stars I was devastated--I was SURE they would go then! I had the flights, the schedule, the costs.... **sigh*** And that is my favorite little penguin clip too...

I'm sure you've all covered this previously, but I have to say...one of my fav senes from AS was when Charla had to wear that Knight suit...omg I was LMAO!!! I'm LOL just thinking about it. I was watching a "best reality moments" clip show, and they kept playing it over and over and over and over it was so funny I was crying. Sometimes I pretend those penguins are my husband and I...

CUBA! I would LOVE it if they could go to Cuba!!!! Sorry for shouting... I just got excited. Due to the restrictions placed by the US government, travel to Cuba is difficult for Americans. A shame, because Cuba is a beautiful country with plenty of things to do (like a task where they have to get ice cream from Copellia Ice Cream parlor )

I went on an Academic Visa when I was in college. It's a beautiful place. And you're right...it's a shame. I also think it's interesting that so many people think it's CUBA'S fault that we can't go there...but it's our own wonderful government who says nu-uh. Too Bad. They could also have to do a Cigar Rolling task or something...we went to the cigar factory in Santiago and omg...it's just amazing...all those people sittnig there hand-rolling cigars... They could send them to Puerto Rico though...they haven't done that, have they? Or did they do it during the season I boycotted the Race??

Of course they could start in mMami and have them run to their bags and fetch a clue that says...
Swim miles across the ocean and find Cuba. Once you are there, find the cigar roller who will give you your next clue.

Yeah, north09, like the Amazing Race casting folks auditioning for people who can swim 90 miles in one day is ever going to happen.

TPTB are always looking for new twists to keep the game interesting. So I wouldn't be surprised to see that they might follow one of our earlier suggestions of sending the teams individually to an overseas location for the start of the race. But of course, as much as we tried to find the start location for TAR12, they somehow were able to hide the start at the Playboy mansion and departure from LAX.

Agreed. Which is why they get rafts they take the triple route (through Canada or Mexico). Countries that have not been used in a while - Thailand, Germany, New Zealand, Brazil, UK. I'd expect at least one of these countries represented, with heavy odds on Thailand and New Zealand.

gman the problem was that the starting for tar12 was moved on short notice and threw every1 off course. when we heard lax we thought they flew from boston south america for a leg or 2 and then back to la to connect to ireland.

Although AR13 could be starting actual filming anytime through May, the dates of the above producer's time indicate to me that a second half March start is most likely.
