Episode Detail: This is Forever, Now - Amazing Race 12
The teams travel to Italy and stress takes a toll on one duo; and another pair consider making a permanent change to their bodies to further their position in the race.

Sunday, Dec. 23 at 8pm ET - This Is Forever, Now

The five remaining teams continue on the seventh leg of the race.
Donald waffles about an opportunity to gain a huge advantage. Kynt argues with Vyxsin, ordering her to "stop this car!"
The teams encounter new challenges and opportunities in Italy, and one team faces a setback when they lose both their clue and their way.
The teams participate in a flag-twirling challenge, where one team falls apart and faces a "nightmarish" experience.

Sunday, December 23, 8/7c

One Team faces a major setback when they lose their clue and their way in Italy.
In a role reversal, one often-bickering Team mends their wounds and starts working well together, while one usually cohesive Team melts down.
One Team contemplates making a permanent change to their bodies in order to get ahead.
One Team receives shocking news at the Pit Stop that they liken to a “three-headed serpent that at any moment can spring forward.”

tvguide magazine 12/23
Amazing Race 12:
For the average traveler, a visit to Italy would likely be a magical experience, but for one particular team "nightmarish" might be a better description, when things suddenly stop going their way in the race.

sounds more like a tattoo, cutting off all hair isnt perminent.  And i will loose a lot of respect for the race if they do that a third time!

A tattoo! Thats so permament but it fits well with the title "This is Forever, Now" :cmas16. I was  :clean and thinking that this can't refer to a Fast Forward if we believe this leg is keep on racing= superleg  :cmas5. No point in having a Fast Forward, go directly to the pitstop if we think there is a virtual pitstop instead?

I really like your idea bingo -- check this out

ETA: while searching tatoo's-- how about Piercings!? its not as extreme as a permanent tatoo.

Maybe this is where we see the so called speed-bump? maybe its an extra detour option, a faster one that only one team can take?

Let me add my congratulations on 50000 posts, puddin. I am closing in on 1/50th of that number, so I know what an achievemnt 50K is.

On a personal note, some may have missed me(hopefully not as severely as last week), but I spent the past 5 days and nights in the regional medical center due to an unwanted byproduct of my Caribbean vacation. Snorkeling above a reef can be dangerous to your health. In my case vibrio bacteria was the diagnosis finally reached as the cause of cellulitis of my lower right leg. I asked my wife to contact Peach stealthily and Peach's response led to vibrio being considered. It probably got me out of the hopsital sooner than I would have otherwise. Thanks, Peach.
