That info is not foolproof by any means. The person could have been with the Blondes, then gone on to help with something else in Dubrovnik and then not been needed after that. Plus this is info heard at a remove (as in it was told to me not heard directly by me) so there is always room for misquoting.
But take it with a grain of salt and throw it in the mix is all!
I do think the way they frame that comment is suggestive of a TBC...and the sourced photos have been right on before...BUT!
Do we really have time for a NEW leg?? Let's count it out:
11 Episodes: 2 TBC's:
EP 1 LA to Ireland start 11 teams, end 10
Ep 2 Ireland to Amsterdam start 10, end 9
EP 3 Amsterdam to Ouagadougou start 9, end 8
EP 4 Ouag to Ouag start 8, end 7
Ep 5 Ouagadougou to Lithuania start 7, end 6
EP 6 Lithuania to Croatia start 6, end 5 OR
EP 6 Lithuania to Croatia start 6--TBC--end 6
EP 7 Croatia to Florence start 5, end 4 OR
EP 7 Croatia to Croatia (Split) start 6, end 5
EP 8 Florence to India start 4 almost certain TBC, end 4 (TBC could also be in Florence instead of course) OR
Ep 8 Split to Florence start 5, end 4
EP 9 India to Osaka start 4 end 3 OR
EP 9 Florence to India start 4 end 3
EP 10 Osaka to Taiwan start 3 TBC end 3 OR
Ep 10 India to Osaka start 3 end 3?? oops doesn't work! See--you have used one TBC and need another in Taiwan and that is how many we were told we would have..so doesn't seem to work...You would also need 12 episodes to play it out OR we would have to skip India entirely which would seem unlikely given the initial Vidcaps)
EP 11 Taiwan to Alaska FINALE start 3, end 1 and all the numbers match!
So it works in my happy place anyway --where could have I gone wrong?
Do the racers really go to Split? If they go from Dubrovnik to Florence, then I think it works out. Dubrovnik ends w 6 TBC, Florence ends w 5, India ends w 4, Osaka ends w 3, and Taiwan ends w 3 TBC.
Another thought is that one of the "episodes" is two hours. CBS.com counted the Polish extravaganza as 1 episode (and, I think, 1 leg) so maybe that would be a way for CBS to get around the "two fewer legs" comment. In this case, Osaka to Taiwan could be hour one with a TBC and Taiwan to Girdwood could be hour two, much like the finales of yore. Granted, it would be really obvious to the viewers, but whatever.
And from our pictures, would the order be:
4. Jen/Nate (their boat was already out as Nic/Donald started leaving)
And do the tasks go: Pit Start - Airport - Cluebox - RB - Detour - Pit Stop/"Pit Stop"
