On the Amazing Race, Week 9, construction manager Gary Tomljenovich, 47, and his son Matt, 22, couldn't catch up to the other teams. Chris Wragge speaks with the father and son.

7 minutes?!?!
Brian and Ericka really took quite awhile shooting the veggies then.
Wow, i can't believe Gary and Matt completed the Detour in less than 7 minutes, they could have beaten the 2 other all-male teams!

Exactly! This is why it makes me mad when people say they last longer than they should have, if it weren't for those two or three screw ups they could have came in at least 3rd or 4th.

Gary and Matt started tasks on arrival in Tallinn with a 20 minute Speed Bump, including transportation to and from. They were eliminated basically because their catchup efforts, although laudable, did not get beyond 13 minutes on all succeeding tasks. So Matt's apparent mishaps on "Candelabra" did not really hurt them except that it prevented him from doing the ROADBLOCK quicker.

Gary from our season of the Race has sent one birthday card back and forth with his sister for 32 years. He brought a copy of the card on the Race and we all signed it in the green room in Japan. Today is her birthday and it's Gary's goal to have 1,000 people view this video he made. I thought you would think it's neat and feel free to post it on RFF. Hope things are well. It is really a cute idea, sounds as though they have been very creative about delivering this card! I am going to link not embed the video to be sure they get all the hits!
