**eyes glazed over** Well--after looking through the database for Friesland---I don't think it is in Friesland...the Zuid (South) may be more likely!

If we are all trying to match windmills.... This one is actually pretty unusual for a Dutch one--see how it is straight up and down and doesn't flare out at the bottom? And one arm has a break but that could have happened anytime so don't count on that for a picture match. And the pointy roof is very different from most Dutch rounded ones. I am going to be if this turns out to be in Lithuania somewhere.... [attachment deleted by admin]

I think the windmill you're looking for may be in this style (right side). Just thinking out loud. [attachment deleted by admin]

If we are looking for Bosnia, we will find it very close to Dubrovnik. I recall in 30 years ago going back to Dubrovnik from northern Yugoslavia via Zagreb. The train went through Sarajevo at 3am. It was a beautiful place then and for the 1984 Winter Olympics and I regretted that I never saw it close up. Sarajevo is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is only 60 miles form Dubrovnik.
Sarajevo is exactly the kind of place they would visit (especially if only 60 miles from Dubrovnik). In addition to the recent conflicts & apskip's info above, the assasination of ArchDuke Ferdinand took place in Sarajevo...the flashpoint start of WW1.

Found this: Lithuanian national Parks: Aukštaitija National ParkThis is said to be the most beautiful park in the entire Baltic region, and has also starred in a television version of Robin Hood, for obvious reasons. Designated in 1974, it is the oldest national park in Lithuania, and covers around 40,570 hectares on the eastern side of the country, near Utena. Over 70% of its area is pine forest, and contains some trees over 200 years old. There are around 80 villages you can visit inside the park, as well as some impressive lakes formed during the Ice Age, such as the tranquil Lake Dringis and Lake Tauragnas, which is the deepest lake in Lithuania. The park's rivers, including the Zeimena, Kriauna and Lukna, are also attractive to tourists, and provide beautiful routes to follow on hikes. The rivers are also rich in wildlife, including Canadian mink, if you're quick enough to spot them. Paluse village is the tourist centre of the Aukstaitija National Park, and boasts an octagonal wooden church dating back to 1757. Paluse is the starting point for most of the tourist routes, both shorter and longer walks and a rowing-boat route along a system of lakes and connecting streams. If you don't want to camp in the park, alternative accommodation is available in romantic converted windmills.

Hopes for 2 legs on Lithuania! It would be a shame not to show the Trakai Castle and of course all this is based on the picture source which we can only really speculate.

i would be SO HAPPY if they went back to kerala -- i was born there and it's pretty amazing! i'll try to help in whatever way i can to confirm the possibility of kerala!
some big cities that they may go through: kochi/cochin (major airport w/ direct int'l connections - COK), trivandrum/thiruvananthapuram (major airport w/ direct int'l connections - TRV i think), ernakulam, allepey, thrissur, kozhikode/calicut, kottayam, mallapuram

Something else that may support India as a location. I don't know how to post vidcaps, but in one of the promo flashes, I did see see a sign that looked like a shop sign made by a 5 year old that said something like "Henna Offered Here". From what I found, it is popular in the Middle East and India.

This page will tell you more than you ever wanted to know about Burkinabe mask culture. The cap looks like southwestern/Ouaga style (maybe) of an antelope (maybe).
