So, let's do an extrapolation of the schedule, shall we?  Assuming 11 teams, and NO non-elimination legs (or double episodes), it would take 8 weeks/episodes to get to the final 3 teams.  That would make a total of 9 weeks/episodes (including the finale).   Given the season starts on Nov. 4th, ....ummm....carry the three..... ahhh.....the finale should be Dec. 30th.   Gosh, nearly wore myself out on that one,  I need a drink.

Boingo, why is 11 teams to start magic? I can make an argument for 13 teams as more likely and even more than that is possible.

And while we know no NEL's---TBC's are still possible I think?

I'm thinking they may want to stretch this out a little...

ummm....7 of the last 11 races had 11 teams...3 had more, 1 had less.....odds say 11 teams.....

Any more than 12 and it's too confusing....but BVM could drag it out into 2008 with some TBC episodes....

...we'll see in about 2 weeks....

Well boingo, there are no non-eliminations so they could stretch the teams, but you are right the odds are there will be eleven!!

Didn't Phil or TPTB say that there would be 11 teams this time?  Or is my memory failing me again.

Despite 11 episodes/legs, and still 11 teams, with Survivor's finale, I can't picture TAR ending before 2008 either.

With so much to cover in ep one in one hour, I think there is a strong possibility of the Ireland leg to be a TBC so that the first Philimination would not be until ep two, Nov. 11.

GMAN, it does sound plausible. However, if you examine the entire range of possibilities, it is more likely that the one TBC with 12 stops will occur at the end of the Alaska leg so that it in effect goes right into the final leg as has been done in many 2 hour finales in the past. Neither is probable given the entire range of other possibilties(any of the other 10 legs) at this point.

I mentioned this on the TAR talk thread, probably should have put it here in scheduling.

The Nascar might not compete with TAR, but the 11/4 Sunday Night Football matchup between Cowboys/Eagles (on NBC @ 8 eastern) will comete big time with TAR.  Pity to have that game against TAR for it's debut.  The next game is far less attractive.

And regarding DVR/Tivo/VCR - in addition to the CBS afternoon football games possibly messing with your recording plans....keep in mind the time change (that weekend).  I assume DVR's change themselves, but VCR's don't.....so everyone double check since Sunday is "fall-back" day.

This article says it's an 11 ep run.

The Super Bowl airs on Feb. 3/2008, so the latest it can air is probably Jan 27th.   If CBS is airing a playoff game on the 20th, that will be to TAR's benefit.

Mine clock has been changed since Saturday morning!  Otherwise, I'd probably forget!!
---------------
So TAR has three time conflicts on different Sundays?  Football, Nascar plus the Survivor Finale?  Geezo, that sucks.  But those of you who have Tivos are in luck, right?

I don't think the Survivor finale will be on the same Sunday as TAR.  Survivor will probably pre-empt other Sunday programs and be a two-hour finale and one-hour reunion show to take up the full three hours.
