Oh so NICE Slowhatch! I had been all through that set--I remember "Mum" --but never even came close to seeing that! Good pickup! And eyes! And speaking of eyes--here is a close up!

Not me! Puddin found it; I missed the second rigging as well. ( It makes a bit of puzzle out of this viewpoint. Top of the steps area, maybe?) [attachment deleted by admin]

Not me! Puddin found it; I missed the second rigging as well. ( It makes a bit of puzzle out of this viewpoint. Top of the steps area, maybe?) Well good job puddin --sorry--I thought it was your find Slowhatch. This whole zipline thing is making me nutso. The first set of spoiler pics that we have which includes this M/M team are all taken over by the tasks--same location as our zipline. . BUT--look at the rigging--this is a totally different set up. Would there be a different setup entirely based on weight or something? I don't know. But in this shot they are just hanging on--no harness--and in the sunset pic they are in a harness and the suspension above their heads is totally different. Could there be TWO ziplines? According to an eye witness there was quite a drop from the Fort on that zipline and a just "hanging on " rigging does not seem safe. And from the fort they go over rocks too--so seems like the harness set up makes sense. And the only teams observed doing the zipline from the Fort by our photographer were in the harness--not hanging on. Second zipline? Different place? Help??

I am so pleased to FINALLY be able to introduce you all to Eilan! Eilan is a huge TAR fan, loves spoilers, and was the person lucky enough to be in Dubrovnik at just the right time to capture all the wonderful pictures of the Detour locations and tasks you have been enjoying. She has been so generous with her time and insights, and has helped us enormously as we attempted to sort all of this out---please give her a big round of applause! And she is a fountain of information--so now you can all ask her yourselves to clarify anything I didn't get quite right! Now stand by--because we have a special treat on the way!

Of course, we have all seen our M/M team in the rowboats. But Eilan has been kind enough to also share this: I think the boat I took the picture of was crew, not teams. Maybe setting up a Detour? Someone is in the water! THUMBNAIL! CLICK ME! as always, thanks to puddin for the picture help! And a HUGE thank you to Eilan!

Awwww, You guys are too kind. Dubrovnik is a lovely spot - I recommend it to all. I feel compelled to add, however, that it is entirely possible that that last picture of the boat may well be other tourists. Or locals, out enjoying a lovely day.

Google for images of "sea kayak dubrovnik" and you can pull up some red/yellow boats; most are solid colors, but some are mixed. Not much video gear or lifejackets can be seen. On the other hand, everyone seems oblivious of the cluebox, which would be very strange for non-crew.

I had found this earlier and the pictures/location fits with the kayaks we saw in our first cluebox pictures. Sea Kayaking - DUBROVNIK DUBROVNIK, Full day tour
Description of excursion
Your sea adventure begins with rowing from the beach situated between the citadels Bokar and Lovrijenac. Easy rowing in kayaks and visiting the famous City Walls offers the opportunity to experience Dubrovnik from the sea side. The magnificent walls above you and the view of the old city haven will create moments to remember. After visiting the walls we row to and Island Lokrum. I'm still wondering where they go in those rowboats. Think they just do a water based task? Or maybe they go to this Island Lokrum, only 10 minutes away. But thanks to Eilan's new picture--I think it is safe to say that there is a second zipline which goes from the tower .....out to sea? Or onto that raft and then to the rowboats? But so far we seem to have a LOT of clueboxes! Is there a standard usual number per episode? I don't think I have ever counted before!

Hi Eilan, thanks for bringing all your good photos and info to our little discovery party. It's a long party too! Take a peek at the archived threads to see what can happen. Your shots will help us figure out the order of team arrivals for this leg of the race. Do you remember if the red and yellow sea kayaks were there as a matter of local routine. Or, did they just appear for the TAR activities. They look like they are in the kind of arrangement that is often used for the race. But sometimes things are just set up for a contingency should there be a problem with another activity. The premiere of TAR5 had sea kayaks in place for a task but they did not use them due to a storm.

Chateau, I think there are a couple of Kayak rental places that operate out of our little beach, so they may belong to them. Here's one of them.

I should check Picasa more often. A honeymoon album here (we get some of our best stuff from honeymooners ) that includes cluebox and "fake wall" shots as well as rigging shots. (Another interesting shot here (July 13?), but I can't read it.)

An interesting album here, including Green Headrag Guy. There's also a photo of ziplines leading to the boat float. (well maybe not ziplines, but something )
