i did find one site that seemed to speculate heavily about the first captain and one of the first officers. but nothing else. but it didn't give me any idea of who to pick for the winner in the pool. just have to do some research myself.

Found this great site Dominica Island and Pirate Master!

Here is the Legend of Captain Henry Steele and how the Treasure Chest came to be.

And there are great pics of the island locations and a nice location MAP which is interactive with pics from different episodes. (example below)

And here is the Story of the real life crew of the Picton Castle (ship used in the filming) and how they handled the filming.
