I think UJ being eliminated rather than being non eliminated screwed them up and this was going to be a TBC to Macao and now it will be changed to a Non Elimination becuase.... ifs it is a TBC it will end in Macao as a Non Elimination and they have never done that, its kind of stupid. It could be still be a TBC but i think everything was moved back with UJ being eliminated early!
We don't know 100% certain if that was the case? Afterall there are lawyers running with production to make sure things go as planned. They can't randomly make NEL's or TBC's from what I've read and heard the racers say.

Just Spec by me.
Also everything seemed to be rushed this leg, the FF [dont we know there was one not taken in Zanzibar] was newly added. The Nomes[sp] were out of place with a team winning the FF, so i dont know this leg seemed strange to me.

That FF Rules needs to be changed!

Bummer for bad information.

Re-checked ep 8.  Phil introduced Fast Forward but does not mention how many are in the race, nor that a team can only use a FF once!  Danny and Oswald teamed with Uchenna and Joyce used the FF in Krakow.

UNLESS, AT THE START OF THE NEXT LEG PHIL SAYS SOMETHING LIKE "IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT YOU, DANNY AND OSWALD USED THE FAST FORWARD IN HONG KONG.  BUT SINCE A TEAM IS ONLY ALLOWED TO USE IT ONCE YOU MUST GO TO BACK OF THE PACK AND YOU ARE NOW MARKED FOR ELIMINTION NOT ERIC AND DANIELLE.

If my memory is correct something like this has happened in an earlier TAR where the next ep started off with a sit down talk by Phil and two teams on some rule infraction which affected the outcome of that leg.  Will go back and check my files tomorrow.

It's possible, but we will have to wait until next week.

Times for the Kung Fu bamboo climb were way off.  Eric and Danielle did not arrive there until just before sundown.  The glares we saw behind the various climbers were large Klieg light used to light the scene and were not sun reflections.  The teams arrived in Hong Kong at 1:10 and 3:30 (o.k. D/O did arrive earlier at 11:55 so there time on the roll over was more nearly correct.)  The FF was no problem at all; what could the team do?  cry out to let them out before the run was over? All they had to do was sit there and let the driver do all the work.  Not like Joyce who had to shave her head!

Yield ahead;  The BQ's can't use it; unless they change the rules again.

Gman we had the Kung Fu place wrong! Thats why the times were off. The Police Headquarters was actually where the Roadblock was not the Detour.

Arrival times at the pit in KL were between 12:28P and 2:19P, not between 2 and 5.  So teams had plenty of time to make the flights that were predicted to  be used from KL to HK.

A lot of fenegalling on getting onto those flights.  And for the first time you were shown that four passports were in hand and four boarding passes were being printed up.  And I like the fact that it is made to look like the agent is using only first names; lordy be that's a new one, it is always last names as a means of identification.

So the rung shadows I was looking at were caused by artificial lighting!    :groan:

I should have watched the video.  I just used the stills.  Maybe it would have been more clear what the arrangement was.  A little voice was telling me that those projections looked too horizontal, as in not possible by the sun.  I had convinced myself that is was sunlight thanks to the shadow on the roof thing.  That was probably just a light too.

I was saying all along that it looked like the sky was darker for E/D, but then I just assumed they got there really early and the sky was dark because the sun hadn't fully risen yet.

Chateau--thank you for another great job!

But one concern--(two really)

Is there ANY possibility that the low angle of sun in Eric's shot could be late afternoon instead of early morning??

And would it matter if the shots you were using had been "flipped"??

It is possible that all of the teams are climbing on the other arm of the "U"--but this shot would also make sense if it had been flipped. Would that screw up your time shots? ???

Could this have had anything to do with it?

Chateau, I think that Phil says something about a Kung Fu movie is being shot at the location.  Thus all the Klieg lights or Solar spots which can dublicate the strength of sunlight.  But you did nail the rollover pretty close and it was a cloudy day.

Now on to Macao.

So I'm guessing this was a non-elimination leg? I don't usually read spoilers but I got curious. Sorry for all the question.

No problem! It was a NEL...

You can check in the ep 10 chat for minute by minute info.

Spoilers are addictive, aren't they?

Someone at TWoP is suggesting that KL could have been a 36 hour Pitstop since the flight that D/O got on doesn't go on Mondays (12/11) which would explain why we can't figure out what they would have done on the 11th.
