With the e-map that Puddin provided and the buildings that Boingo found, I've spotted C/M's attempts at hailing a cab to an area just south of Pilsudski place (also called Saxon place). There are Chopin places and theaters and opera houses nearby, but it's hard to tell how long and how far they had to walk to get a cab (they are way behind the Chas at the pitstop, right?)

:-\ Yeah, I spent a couple hours earlier today trying to figure out where they were coming from/going to. The Warsaw University is nearby, so is the National Theatre, and other places they could be tuning the piano. If they are getting a cab, then they will be traveling toward the National Theatre to the north in the map. Anyone know where Lazienki Park is in relation to Saxon Gardens? ETA: OK, never mind, I found a map. Lazienki Park is due south via the "Royal Route" ( a major street). Looks like the tasks could be within a very small area.

I've screamed myself silly, yelling at my computer for that dude to take a picture of the fireplace at the other end of the room. Not sure about the walls, but the floor sure looks similar. :-\

And a panorama of the outside just for the heck of it eta: I guess the rooms are called: Warszawa Pałac w Łazienkach (VIII w. proj. D. Merlini) - Sala Jadalna, Sala Balowa, Sala Salomona, Galeria Obrazów, Gabinet Królewski and Kominek is a fireplace? imagine that!

I understand how many teams have to be eliminated and in what order.
My only question is what precludes teh Guidos from being eliminated in episode 7 as opposed to 8.
As far as I can tell we know we have an extended Pit Stop of at leat 36 hours after leg 6 (thanks to the beach scene, its the only way Eric & Danielle could be there with Charla & Mirna and Oswald & Danny).
It could even be a 48 hour Pit Stop (that has happened a couple times over the years).
Lets use Season 5's format, for example.
In which leg 5 is the first non elimination point, where Uchenna & Joyce are saved.
Leg 6. Teri & Ian are eliminated
Leg 7 (especially if it does get to Poland) could have Joe & Bill eliminated or run over on the tarmac.
Leg 8 Non elimination of some form, I have been assuming that the shot we see is from leg 8 (though it could be leg 7).
Leg 9-Another non elimination of some kind. And this still gives us the Guidos gone in Poland, and UJ in the Baku caves.
Leg 10 a team is eliminated (Uchenna & Joyce and it could be the occurance of the Baku Caves) or one of the other two points (Hong Kong and what is the other possability of a Pit Stop that we haven't for sure nailed down.
Leg 11 a none elimination of some kind. and the Pit Stop at either Hong Kong or that other possable Pit Stop loaction.
Leg 12. Guam with Oswald & Danny eliminated (NOOOOOO!!!!)
Leg 13 final leg with finale three and a stop in San Fran.
That is a copy of the season 5 elimination/Non elimination pattern.
Why wouldn't it work here?
Or I am I just not seeing 2 + 2=4.
mswood, you're right technically that nothing precludes it. However, do you want to be the producer who has 3 out of 4 consecutive legs non-elim. I don't think so!

MICHAEL D, where is this concern coming from? Although it has been second-guessed by longer dhow ride times by CHATEAU due to his shadow analyses, my estimate of when Charla/Mirna finished was around 11am on the same day as all other teams except Joe/Bill and Ian/Teri. If CHATEAU is right and it's a few hours later it's still in the early afternoon.

I agree with the others; that looks like a tuning lever she's holding. As the owner of a grand piano that needs to be tuned every 6 months, I can say that this looks like a piano tuning exercise. They are probably being asked to match a specific tone, such as the standard 440 A below middle C, and tune it with the equipment shown to match it perfectly. There may even be an oscilloscope-type meter to show that they have done so or a digital readout or most likely a human with perfect pitch to tell them when it is just right.

Ep 8 goes to Warsaw, and then perhaps is scheduled to go somewhere else, (perhaps they were going to Krakow, but don't) but since everything is delayed, the final pit stop is on "that grassy field" in Warsaw. The only thing that throws cold water on this scenario is the fact that "they were there all night and pestered by mosiquitos" Mosquitos in Warsaw in December? Gman, Phil said this happened in Africa and ... To me it looks like snow is on the ground. I haven't gone through all of the messages I've missed in the last day or so, so sorry if already brought up. My f-n-l is Polish so I'll ask him about snow in December. eta: OOPS I relooked at pictures. It isn't snow as there's grass showing in all of the other pictures. However, if it's not the way the picture is presented it could be early morning dew or fog. To me it just looks funny.

Frustration levels hit a high for one team when locals completely ignore then and refuse to help them, while another racer attempts to stop the plane by running out on the tarmac, on a special Two-Hour airing of The Amazing Race : All-Stars Sunday April 1, 8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT. "If I Were In Town, I Would Ask For Your Number" -- Teams head to Warsaw, Poland where a disagreement sparks an intense argument and name calling between teammates, on a special two-hour broadcast of THE AMAZING RACE: ALL-STARS, Sunday, April 1 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network Mirna must be mad about the wheels on Charla's shoes. It looks like Charla's supporting the feet, using her wheels and letting Mirna do all of the work by pulling her along. This could be what the voice over is about.

Yeah - that pole looks about right! Maybe they are running to the pit stop and are finally going to get first place and I'll be very happy! PS: only one is a Rockette Michael, I totally agree. I think they are running to pit stop and really excited because they are in 1st place. GOOOOOOOO BQs

I wonder where that carrying task comes in - We already saw a roadblock and one of the detour options (knights, tuning the piano) so maybe there are two full episodes in poland?
