I think that the Daytona 500 will be over by then, so no conflicts with that and TAR.  Now the Academy Awards...that's a different story.  TPTB may air it twice or just on a weeknight (or either just leave it on Sunday or not air it at all).  With March Madness, we're safe, and that will help TAR shine.  So if TAR were to ever move from Sunday, I can't see that happening until after the tourney (yet another reason not to commit to just one date for TARcon.

With the show ending on 5/13, that would be nice, unless one can't participate due to the inability to get away due to Mother's Day.  With a 5/6 date, that should be great news for pretty much everyone (except Brian).  A weeknight; who knows?  BTW, as georgiapeach put it best, puddin, you're going.  Team effort to get her there everyone!  It'll be the perfect belated birthday gift!  On that note, happy birthday to you!

No, its for real peach
Kogs the schedule says nothing about TAR not being on on April 8th. They are probably planning the usual Survivor Finale on May 13th, Mothers Day so are pushing the additional episode of TAR through so they can be on schedule. Just my take on it ..I really don't know.

i figured that was going to happen and there is no way they are going to project tar to the 20th and this way it gives cold case and with out a trace 2 90 min season finales if they want to do it.

MikeD19

If the schedule that Puddin put up is even close to being correct, then the final episode is one hour.

While we might feel cheated by that, remember that even when they show 2 hour season finales.  What they are actually showing are the last two legs put together as one episode.

If this schedule holds what they are showing on the  first week of may is just teh last leg.

I know its nicer to get like a 2 hour block to really get intot eh episode, but just to let you know we aren't lsoing any time on teh specific legs.

Unlike for example the opening of this seasoon.  (since season 5, I thin) we ahve had two hour 1st legs (or in season 10 case 1 and 1/2).  But they have always been just one leg.  Thats the only leg they have ever expanded beyond one hour.

No Gman nothing is better than TAR  :jumpy:,BB is just different and really I should hate because no one I ever want to win has won  :-\ but its addicting and I love doing the updates, wasting my summer indoors like a crazed maniac, sleeping when the House guests sleep, eating when they eat, crying when they cry ..I'm such a loser :loser: ..

And back to TAR ..good news I hear season TAR12 has an unofficial greenlight from CBS, whatever that the hell that means.

REALLY?!

thank god! I've been getting nervous that there hasn't been any kind of sign of a new season....wouldn't TAR12 be filking in around 3 - 4 months?

Oh god, a race with brand new racers seems so strange after living through the pre-all star hype!

lol, so true!!  I still can't believe we'll actually have new big brother contestants in a few months!  can yall believe it's been *2* years since we last got new contestants for BB? crazy!

thats why i like all star seasons.  you get excited for all-stars, and when it's over, you're even more excited than ever for a normal season!

Is it possible that one of the back-to-back episodes on Sunday April 1st is a recap, and the other is the actual episode?

I actually wondered about this before we got a schedule.  If they would include a clip show.

But since the ratings are lower this season then last season, I would guess not.

And damn, Puddin likes Big Brother (Shakes head reproachingly).  But it was great to hear that the have been iven a possibel go ahead for season 12.

For myself its a no brainer.  Even if the show underperforms, I would think it would be renewed for three reasons.

1.  the 13 episode format is great as a show to use to fill up a spot for a show that ges cancelled early.

2.  They can consider going to just once a season during the regular viewing period (which might actually be a good thing, absence makes the heart grow fonder, and I would certainly miss the hell out of it).

3.  Or they could use it as summer programming.  Where lower numbers are considered still quite respectable.

So I would think even if they felt it wasn't performing well enough to warrent 2 cyces in one year that the show shold be safe.

For those that think April 1st is a 2 hour continuous show heres how it was layed out by CBS:
Cold Case was removed and Amazing Race was inserted and no I don't think it will be a recrap show unless of course TPTB want to get more milage out of Romber  :luvya:

hmm...the only reason I was thinking that is because I doubt if it's two legs (two episodes back to back) then we will get a 2 hour finale, and I find that weird since we didn't have a two hour or 90 minute premier!

Oh well! haha puddin, I bet if there WERE a recap it will all be about Rob and Amber  :lol3:

Is it possible that there wont be an episode on Easter Sunday?

Oh Nevermind - I answered my own question.

I wonder how CTV is going to do this. The Juno awards start at 9 on April 1st, and they have a hour hour episode of TAR listed at 8-9PM, but nothing before or after, so they are only showing one of the episodes ...

Thank God I get CBS! :wohoo:

hmm...on TV.com people were talking about the 2 hour episode, saying it had to do with easter and that there will be no episode on April 8th, then somebody wrote:

I think it has less to do with Easter, and more to do with The Masters being that weekend on CBS, which fouls with the schedule. I'm glad since if TAR were to to delayed, I'd have to catch the end off DVR to switch to the return of The Sopranos.

What is The Masters?

The Masters would be golf. The winner gets a green jacket I think..... :js:

I watch the Masters final round most years. The final pair tee off about 3pm and finish about 7pm. The Green Jacket award and "color" will take another 15 minutes. However, on average every 6 years there is a sudden death playoff which can take 15 minutes to an hour when darkness sets in at Austusta National. The beginning time for 60 Minutes on April 8 will therefore be between 715pm and 830pm and the Amazing Race should be one hour later.

Prettiest course ever!

You can see a real Georgia spring--but ours started so early who knows what the azaleas will look like by then?

On my street--the cherry trees are in full bloom, the dogwoods are opening, the azaleas are blooming, the birdies are chirping.... :blume:
