I've been trying to chase down the third plane. Blue and Pinky (man, they have some butt-ugly airplanes over there  :cmaslol) are definitely from Lyon, but the red/yellow plane looks like its F-GKIA. Searching for that lead me to this para-club; click on "L'equipe," compare the photos to the two caps and tell me what you think...

Slowhatch you have it!! Where is that town??

nevermind...found it! It is a little inland though--wonder if they could still have flown out of narbonne--that isn't far and it is coastal too...

People are a match for sure...can anybody match the coastline views with google? That's beyond me!

Have y'all noticed that in this task the plane and its passenger take a nose dive immediately after the jumper goes.

The plane dives faster than the jumper falls!   :cmas18

The timings of what we know says that the teams start the leg around midnight between the 22nd and 23rd in Barcelona.  They have to catch a 6 am flight to Paris.  I don't see any other way for them to get to the Eiffel Tower by 9 am.  They head out of Paris for the jump (and a tedious Detour).  After that they have until 8 or 9 pm to get back to Paris.

From Wikipedia here are the cites served by Gare St. Lazare.

I have circled the ones that are coastal.

Here it is!   :cmas11

From the IGN promo there is a shot of the beach that has features that match a location on GE.

It's near the rail destination of Cean.

From the Google Maps I found the airport.  And went it in GE.

It is where the curved roof hangar is.

Chateau! great job! Now I understand why they were coming from Paris.

Okay, you have the location and Slowhatch has the flying club....but they are WAY apart!

What was a flying club from SW France doing with a task up in the NW? There were flying clubs closer...

Another puzzle!

Gosh--Finale is going to be one jam packed episode!!

Here is today's version of the train schedule form Caen to Gare St. Lazare:  (it's about a 2 hour ride)

Great work!  :cmas9 Just outside the fuzzylands, too. The curved roof matches, but I think it's the terminal on the other side of the runway (picture source). As far as the charters go, I agree that it's a bit odd: there should be available clubs and companies closer to Normandy than the ones they chose.

My gahd, they are recreating the jump in Normandy of the 101st Airborne on D-day, June 6, 1944!,  Hope none of them get hung up on the church steeple in St. Marie de Igles (Remember Red Buttons in the movie, The Longest Day?)

They really have to fit a lot into one hour ..
not sure what the detour is in Paris

** The final three Teams depart Spain and travel to France, knowing that every decision they make is crucial in this final leg of the Race.
**One Team gets left behind when the other two Teams discover and board an earlier train to their next destination.

** Once they arrive, Teams battle it out in a tedious Detour that causes frustration and arguments to ensue.
**Teams must do everything they can in order to maintain their composure and finish the task in order to receive their next clue.

**At the Roadblock, a 12,000 foot skydive causes a rift between team members that must be mended before they can move forward.

**Teams battle it out in the final destination city in an all out effort to reach the Finish Line first and claim the One Million Dollar Prize

This is just a lot of misdirection, a bunch of hooey.  No matter what happens in Spain, Normandy, or Paris we KNOW that all three teams are together on June 24 on Delta (Air France) flight 8600 leaving Paris at 8:25AM.

So all that does matter is what happens in New York City.  Do they find the News Building on 42nd street without difficulty (Bama has already been seen in the wrong place); and how fast can they get up the Hudson to the final mat and do they have to do something first across the river at West Point.  Those are the burning questions, not what happens on June 22/23 in Europe.

Any chance we can find the hourly weather for West Point, NY on 24 June 06?  Maybe it was cloudy in the morning and sunny in the afternoon, etc.
